FASHION: Jeulia Jewelry - Cyber Monday

November is such an exciting month fashion wise definitely if you love online shopping like I do. The past ten years quite some traditions have blown over from the United States. My favorite one is Cyber Monday. For those who are not with familiar with this day: the first Monday after Thanksgiving web shops offer crazy deals and reductions. So mark 30th November in your agenda!

OUTFIT: All American

NL: De temperaturen beginnen te zakken en dat betekent meerder laagjes overéén dragen. Niet dat ik er echt fan van ben maarja. Zoals ik vorige week in de shoplog liet zien, heb ik mijn eerste Levi's jeans gekocht. Tot nu toe ben ik erg tevreden van de pasvorm. Voor een dagje shoppen in Maastricht koos ik voor een comfortabele outfit met de Tommy Hilfiger t-shirt die ik kocht in hun pop-up store bij Smets.

ENG: Temperatures are decreasing and that means putting on different layers. Not that I'm really a fan of layering but anyways. Last week you could read about my first Levi's pants and so far I'm really pleased how it fits. For a day of shopping in Maastricht I opted for a comfortable outfit with the Tommy Hilfiger t-shirt which I bought at their pop-up store at Smets.

FASHION: Balmain x H&M

NL: Ik heb lang getwijfeld om een blogpost over de Balmain x H&M collectie te schrijven, omdat je deze gewoon al overal tegenkomt. Maar de #HMBALMAINATION koorts stijgt naar ongekende hoogtes en ik kan niet langer aan de verleiding weerstaan ;-) Op 5 november ligt de langverwachte collectie eindelijk in de winkels en eerder deze week werd  de volledige collectie voorgesteld in New York. 

Tijd dus om die wenslijstjes beginnen op te stellen, al is dit haast een onmogelijke taak. De jurken zijn gebaseerd op authentieke Balmain designs en zijn helemaal mijn stijl. De blouses zijn afgewerkt met de prachtigste details en laten we ook de mooie accessoires niet vergeten. Ook het rijke kleurenpalette van deze collectie heeft mijn hart veroverd. Gelukkig mag ik enkele dagen eerder de collectie al gaan bekijken en kopen in de H&M showroom. Volg mij dus zeker op social media @karenliesens voor een sneak peek. 

ENG: I doubted for quite some time to write a blogpost about the Balmain x H&M collection because everybody is already doing it. But the #HMBALMAINATION fever is rising to unknown temperatures and I can't resist any longer ;-) On 5th November the long awaited collection will finally be available in stores and earlier this week it was already presented in New York. 

That means it's time to start making those wishlists, although that's nearly impossible. The dresses are inspired by authentic Balmain designs and are really my style. The blouses are completed with the most gorgeous details and let's not forget about those pretty accessories. The rich colour palette of this collection appeals to me as well. FASHION: On trend with Esprit

Als modeblogger wil ik natuurlijk altijd kort op de bal spelen wat betreft de nieuwste trends. Deze ga ik dan ook vandaag met jullie delen aan de hand van collages met enkele items die onder deze trends vallen. Alle items uit deze blogpost komen uit de http://www.esprit.be webshop. Ik koos voor Esprit omdat dit merk erg kwalitatief maar toch budgetvriendelijk is.

Seventies

In tijden van crisis grijpen modeontwerpers graag terug naar het verleden en deze winter maken de jaren ’70 hun comeback. Wil je dit op een subtiele manier in je wardrobe verwerken zonder op een hippie te lijken? Kies voor beige of bruine items. Leer, suède en jeans doen het erg goed dit seizoen. Tip: kies voor een broek met wijde pijpen. Jouw outfit is pas compleet met een poncho.

Black boots

Het belooft een koude winter te worden maar gelukkig zijn deze winter de zwarte biker boots hipper dan ooit! Wil je toch nog een beetje elegantie uitstralen? Kies dan voor een paar boots met gouden gespen.

50 shades of grey

Wie zou gedacht hebben dat de film 50 shades of Grey zoveel invloed zou hebben op modegebied. Het zakenpak is terug, alle tinten grijs kunnen en moeten! Bonuspunten scoor je als je voor de dubbel durft te gaan: zowel een grijs boven- als onderstuk.

Short skirts

 Louis Vuitton bracht vorig seizoen de minirok terug in de mode en nu nemen andere merken dit over. Alle kleuren, stoffen en motiefjes zijn toegestaan!

Ruitjes

Nog zo een verbazingwekkend motiefje dat zijn comeback maakt, is het ruitjesmotief. Dit kan in zowat elk soort kledingstuk voorkomen. Ik raad wel aan om de outfit voor de rest simpel te houden.

Breiwerk

Deze winter mogen we ook allemaal aan het breiwerk staan en hoe grover hoe beter. Eén ding is zeker: met deze trend zal je deze winter geen koud lijden.

Packaging

Urban Decay gebruikt hyper moderne verpakkingen. De primer zit in een gouden tube en wordt aangebracht met een soort van applicator / borsteltje. De dop heeft een prachtige edelsteen vorm. Deze tube zit op zijn beurt in een paars, kartonnen doosje. Het merk staat op het doosje geprint in een erg sierlijk lettertype.

Urban Decay uses hyper modern packaging. The primer is in a golden tube and included an applicator. The cap has a gem like shape. This tube was wrapped in a purple, carton box. The brand name is printed on the box in an elegant fount. 

My experience

De Urban Decay oogschaduw Primer Potion is een redelijk, speciale primer. Meestal is de materie dikker en breng je deze aan met de vingers. Bij deze primer zit een borsteltje maar ik vind het toch makkelijker om ook deze primer vervolgens te verspreiden over het ooglid met mijn vingers.

De Urban Decay primer is verkrijgbaar in vier formules. Ik koos voor de Minor Sin omdat deze een mooie champagne glans heeft. De verkoopster raadde deze aan omdat je deze ook zo kunt dragen als tint op de ogen.

Verder is deze primer echt super van houdbaarheid, mijn oogschaduw bleef de hele dag zitten. De Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is zeker en vast een aanrader.

The Urban Decay Primer Potion is a special kind of primer. Usually the formula is thicker and is being applied with the fingers. With this primer an applicator is included but I still use my fingers to blend it on the eyelid.

The Urban Decay primer is available in four formulas. I chose the Minor Sin because this primer has a nice champagne like glow. The sales lady advised this because on normal days you can just put on the primer for a bit of colour on your eyes.

This primer made sure that my eyeshadow remained perfect all day long. The Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is definitely a product I can recommend.

Shoplog # 34

NL: Het is al een tijdje geleden sinds mijn laatste shoplog, eerlijk gezegd was ik deze categorie een beetje vergeten. *shame on me* Afgelopen weekend ging ik in Antwerpen shoppen en daar wist ik toch wel een aantal leuke items te scoren.

Ici Paris XL is altijd een must, deze keer ging ik naar buiten met een primer van Urban Decay en een oogpotlood van Chanel. Over Levi's jeans had ik al zoveel goeds gehoord en ik was al een tijdje op zoek naar een degelijke jeans. Het personeel van Levi's is super vriendelijke en helpt je in een no time de perfecte pasvorm vinden. Het belooft een koude winter te worden en dus schafte ik mee ook nog oorwarmers aan van Ugg. 

ENG: It's been a while since my last shoplog, honestly I kind of forgot about this category a little bit. *shame on me* Last weekend I did some shopping in Antwerp and I found some lovely items.

Ici Paris XL is always a must and this time I left the store with a primer from Urban Decay and an eye pencil from Chanel. I'd heard so many positive things about Levi's jeans and I had been looking for the perfect pair for quite a while. The personnel from Levi's was super friendly and helps you find the right fit in no time. It looks like it will be a chilly winter and so a pair of ear warmers from Ugg also went home with me.

OUTFIT: Stripes

NL: Ik heb zoveel positieve reacties gekregen op mijn outfit voor het Tommy Hilfiger event dat ik besloten heb om er een aparte outfit shoot mee te doen. Aflopen zaterdag ging ik shoppen in Antwerpen, helaas was het weer behoorlijk druilerig. Gelukkig is er de prachtige Stadsfeestzaal, die de perfecte locatie vormde voor deze shoot. 

ENG: I got so many positive reactions on my outfit for the Tommy Hilfiger event, so I decided to do a real outfit shoot with it. Last Saturday I went to Antwerp for some shopping, too bad the weather was quite drowsy. Fortunately the gorgeous Stadsfeestzaal was the perfect location for this shoot.

FASHION: Gucci timepieces - Horsebit watch

NL: Binnenkort ben ik weer jarig en het wordt toch wel stilletjes aan tijd om na te denken over een wensenlijstje. Het gouden Horsebit horloge van Gucci is zonder twijfel één van de mooiste items die ik de afgelopen maanden de revue heb zien passeren. 

Een klassiek horloge is een musthave voor elke fashionista en het horsebit is één van de meeste kenmerkende motieven uit de modewereld. Het horloge is ook erg delicaat, slechts 28 mm dik. De wijzerplaat is zowel in het zwart verkrijgbaar als in het wit bezet met diamantjes. 

ENG: My birthday will soon be on the horizon so I started to make a wishlist. The golden Horsebit watch from Gucci is without a doubt on it. 

A classic watch is a must-have for every fashionista and the horsebit is one of the most-well known things in fashion. The watch is very delicate, only 28 mm. The dial is available in both black and white with diamonds encrusted.

EVENT: Fashion Point fall 2015 presentation

NL: Fashion Point is zonder het modewallaha voor elke fashionista in Zuid-Limburg. Deze groep bestaat uit drie winkels: Obsis (designer collecties), Fashion Point (chic en trendy) en Push & Pull (Young fashion). De middelste winkel uit dit rijtje hield een modeshow enkele weken geleden om de herfstcollectie voor te stellen en ik was natuurlijk van de partij. Bij Fashion Point vind je merken zoals Caroline Biss, Guess, Armani Jeans, Dexters,... Hieronder vind je enkele van mijn favoriete looks.

ENG: Fashion point is the place to be for every fashionista in Zuid-Limburg. This group contains three stores: Obsis (designer collections), Fashion Point (chic and trendy) and Push & Pull (Young fashion). The second one organised a fashion show a few weeks ago to present the fall collection and of course yours truly was there to witness it.
