TREND: The printed dress

One trend that really has captured my eye and heart is the printed dress. You can't flip through a lookbook or webshop without encountering a least one. It's the perfect piece to make the transition from winter to spring. Before buying one, I wanted to discover different designs. Below you can see some of my favourites.

NL: Als er één trend is die me opgevallen is en mijn hart veroverd heeft, is het wel de bedrukte jurk. Je kunt niet door een lookbook bladeren of op een webshop surfen zonder er tenminste eentje tegen te komen. Het is het perfecte kledingstuk om de overgang te maken van winter naar lente. Alvorens een bedrukte jurk te kopen, wou ik eerst wat verschillende prints ontdekken. Hieronder zien jullie enkele van mijn favorieten.

TREND: Leopard

Isn't leopard the best animal print ever? And it's very in at the moment; pants, blouses, skirts, shoes, you name it. Because leopard print is already very attention drawing on its own so mix it with black or just one matching color. For some inspo, you can check the streetstyle pics below, I mixed with some of my own outfits. Which is your favorite look? How would you wear leopard?

NL: Is luipaard niet de beste dierenprint ooit? Deze print is dan ook erg in; broeken, truitjes, rokken, schoenen, noem maar op. Omdat de luipaardprint veel aandacht opeist, raad ik jullie aan om dit te mixen met zwart of één matchende kleur. Nog wat inspiratie nodig? TREND: The pencil skirt

I still remember those times when pencil skirts where considered boring and an office with lots of computers popped into my mind whenever I thought about them. But fashion can lift any clothing piece to another level as long as the right designer and it-people give attention to it. Designers created pencil skirts which exist of different kind of fabrics such as leather, different kind of colors and with patterns.

Kim Kardashian is the queen of the pencil skirt which accentuates her curvy figure just perfect. TV series such as Suits also proof that pencil skirts on the work floor can by very sexy yet sophisticated when combined well. The combinations are endless: camisole tops, crop tops, shirts, blouses, ...

NL: Ik herinner me nog de tijden toen kokerrokken als saai werden beschouwd en ik dacht steeds aan een kantoor vol met computers wanneer iemand over dit kledingstuk begon. Maar mode kan van elk kledingstuk een trend maken als de juiste designer en/of beroemdheden er aandacht aan geven. Designers ontwerpen kokerrokken bestaand uit verschillende soorten materiaal zoals leer, verschillende kleuren en met patronen.

Kim Kardashian is de koningin van de kokerrok, deze accentueert haar gevormd figuur perfect. TV series zoals Suits bewijzen ook dat kokerrokken erg sexy maar toch gesofisticeerd kunnen zijn als ze goed gecombineerd worden. De combinaties zijn eindeloos: camisole topjes, crop topjes, hemden, truien,...

TREND: How to wear your spring coat?

The chancing of seasons acquires another clothing style and spring is probably the hardest season to dress in my opinion. In the morning it's often still freezing or close to freezing so you feel like putting on long pants, a blouse and a warm coat. But along the day the temperatures start rising and the outfit that seemed perfect a couple of hours earlier, is now annoying you. 

Luckily a lot of street style "people" have the right solution; don't put your coat on but put it on your shoulders. This gives a very easy yet very chic touch to your look. I really like this trend and I'm definitely going to try to fit it into one of my next oufit shoots. This trend is also perfect to spice up your work outfit for an after work event.
