DIY: How to make Guacamole?

If you're wondering why I have been quiet lately it's because I had a super busy weekend. I still live at home and never cook dinner. So inviting a couple of friends at home and serve a three course dinner was quite challenging. I started preparing Thursday evening and continued Friday.

Although I barely have any cooking experience I must say that the dinner was quite succesful. OK, I admit that some courses didn't go as planned but still I'm very pleased. To start off the evening I served some nacho's with homemade Guacamole. This is one of my favourite dip sauce. Here's how I made it:

Ingredients:

- 2 avocados
- 2 onions
- 2 Spanish peppers
- 6 spoons of cut corianders leaves
- 4 spoons of olive oil
- 6 spoons of lemon juice
- 2 tomatos

Peel and cut the avocados and onions. Erase the seeds from the Spanish peppers. Mix all these ingredients with lemon juice and olive oil in the mixer.

Add salt, pepper and the cut coriander leaves to the mix and leave it in the fridge for a couple of hours.

Tip: I usually serve the guacamole with nachos.

BEAUTY: What to do on a bad hair day?

I seriously hate those very few women who seem to have perfect hair every day. How do they do it? My guess is they either are a hairdresser themselves or visit one multiple times a week. Ofcourse not everybody has the time and / or budget to do that. Although we all would rather go back to bed and stay in all day long, this really isn't a solution if you have obligations. Therefore I would like to share some tips with you to battle a bad hair day.

1. Put your hair up

The best hair to be put up, is hair that hasn't been washed for a couple of days. Spray some dry shampoo and comb your hair on the roots there subsequently. Make a bun and pin it loosely onto your head. Tip: you can use a scarf to add a girly touch.

2. Glamerous curls

This is a tip I often use myself definitely because I have some slight, natural curls myself. Put some oil in your hair to make it shine and start using that curling iron.

3. The ponytail

This is probably the easiest hairstyle ever. If this is too boring for you, I've got some good news: the wet look is in style more than ever. Spread some hair mousse on your towel dry hair and put it together in a low ponytail.

4. Braid your hair

Braids are perfect for thicker hair. The possibilities to braid your hair are endless.

5. Camouflage

If you don't have a lot of time on your hands or you're just not so good at trying out different hair styles, you can still go for this camouflage tip. Caps are totally in right now.
