FASHION: Karl Lagerfeld - Choupette at the beach 2016

NL: 's Werelds beroemdste kat laat weer van zich spreken; we hebben het natuurlijk over Choupette. Choupette verwierf wereldfaam als levensgezel van Karl Lagerfeld. In de collectie naar zichzelf genaamd speelt Choupette vaak een hoofdrol, zo ook nu weer. 

Choupette at the beach is deze keer het thema. Je raadt het dus al: Lagerfeld komt met een olijke strandcollectie op de proppen. Typische items zoals een canvas tas, een bikini, strandhanddoek en slip-ons maken deel er van uit. Daarnaast vind je enkele toffe T-shirts en sweaters. Als kers op de taart is er mijn favoriete item: het box handtasje met Choupette op afgebeeld. De collectie is nu verkrijgbaar in alle Karl Lagerfeld winkels.

ENG: The world's most famous cat manages to break the headlines once again; of course I'm talking about Choupette. Choupette obtained world fame for being Karl Lagerfeld's life partner. The cat is often the main character in Lagerfeld's namesake label and the newest collection is no exception.

Choupette at the beach is this season's theme. You probably already guessed it: Lagerfeld spoils us with a lovely beach collection. Typical items such as a PVC bag, a bikini, a beach towel and slip-ons are all included in the collection. As cherry on the pie the collection also includes a rectangular-shaped bag with Choupette's image on it. The items are available at all Karl Lagerfeld stores.

FASHION: Karl Lagerfeld // Karl Robot capsule collection Spring 2016

NL: Karl Lagerfeld is natuurlijk de keizer van het modelandschap. Sinds enkele jaren heeft hij naast zijn jobs als creatief directeur bij Fendi en Chanel ook nog een merk genoemd naar zichzelf weten op te richten. Het merk Karl Lagerfeld staat in schril contrast met het werk wat we van hem gewoon zijn: het is hyper modern en met erg blitse designs. 

Zoals de naam misschien al prijsgeeft, draait deze collectie niet louter rond Choupette maar ook om een robot. De blauwe shopper werd onder andere al aan de arm van Kendall Jenner gespot en dan weet je dat het wel "snor" zit. Verder bestaat de collectie uit clutches, truien en andere toffe accessoires. De box clutch is mijn favoriete item, welk item is jouw favoriet?

ENG: Karl Lagerfeld is the emperor of the fashion world. Since a few years he has, next to his jobs as creative director for Fendi and Chanel, a namesake label as well. The contrast between the brand Karl Lagerfeld and his other designs couldn't be any bigger: these items are trendy and futuristic. 

As you might have grasped from the title, this collection isn't only about Choupette but about a little robot as well. The blue shopper has been spotted on the arms of Kendall Jenner which means big publicity. Other items in this collection are: clutches, sweaters and couple of funny accessories. EVENT: GAB Food & Fashion Festival

July has been a very quiet month fashion wise, luckily the start of August immediately brought some excitement. Yesterday I was invited to the GAB headquarters for a fashion and food festival. At noon my bff Anouk and I headed to Ternat (nearby Brussels) with the lovely sun accompanying us. We were welcomed very warmly. GAB represents brands such as Karl Lagerfeld, Calvin Klein and Pepe Jeans. I was impressed by both the GAB showrooms and the SS16 collections. The showrooms were spread over a villa, an old warehouse and a pop-up tent. The handbags from Karl Lagerfeld and Calvin Klein made my heart skip a beat. Next summer we will continue to wear soft colours and lots of suede. Afterwards we enjoyed some festival vibes with lots of food (Indian, Hamburgers, coffee and ice cream) and drinks. Below you get an impression of my day.

NL: Juli was een rustige maand op modegebied, gelukkig bracht het begin van augustus meteen wat spanning. Gisteren was ik uitgenodigd op het GAB hoofdkwartier voor een food and fashion festival. Tegen de middag zakten mijn bff Anouk en ik af naar Ternat (Brussel) vergezeld door een zalig zonnetje. We werden warm verwelkomd. GAB vertegenwoordigt merken zoals Karl Lagerfeld, Calvin Klein en Pepe Jeans. Ik was eg onder de indruk van zowel de GAB showrooms als de SS 16 collecties. De showrooms lagen verspreid over een villa, een oud pakhuis en een pop-up tent. De handtassen van Karl Lagerfeld en Calvin Klein wisten mijn hart te stelen. Volgende zomer zullen we nog steeds veel zachte kleuren en suède dragen. Daarna genoten Anouk en ik van het ware festivalgevoel met veel eten (Indisch, hamburgers, koffie en ijs) en drankjes. Hieronder krijg je een impressie van mijn dag.

WISHLIST: Karl Lagerfeld - Paradise Bay VS Repetto - Eau Florale

I'm looking for a new perfume and recently I received some press info on two newbies on the market. The first one being Paradise Bay by Karl Lagerfeld and the seconde one is Eau Florale from Repetto. Can you help me choose?

Kaiser Karl Lagerfeld can basically turn anything into gold. His namesake brand realised its first perfume last year and now it's time for another duo (available for both men and women) called Paradise Bay. Both scents complete each other. Paradise Bay is available limited from half March.

The combo of rose, grapefruit and violets make Eau Florale from Repetto the perfect scent for summer. Eau Florale will be available from April. 

NL: Ik ben op zoek naar een nieuw parfum en onlangs ontving ik persinfo over twee nieuwe geurtjes op de markt. De eerste is Paradise Bay van Karl Lagerfeld en de tweede is Eau Florale van Repetto. 

Kaiser Karl Lagerfeld verandert zo goed als alles in goud. Zijn merk, dat naar hem genoemd is, bracht vorig jaar voor het eerst een parfum op de markt en nu is het alweer tijd voor een nieuw duo (zowel voor mannen als vrouwen) genaamd Paradise Bay. De geuren vullen mekaar aan. Paradise Bay is gelimiteerd verkrijgbaar vanaf half maart. 

De combinatie van roos, pompelmoes en viooltjes maken van Eau Florale van Repetto de perfecte geur voor de zomer. Eau Florale is verkrijgbaar vanaf april.
