De verpakking straalt de frisheid van de lente uit. Het flesje heeft een simpel design en is doorzichtig. Het flesje is afgesloten met een zwarte dop en zit in een roze kartonnen verpakking.

The packaging radiates the freshness of spring. The design of the bottle is very simple and it's see-through. The bottle is closed off with a black cap and put into a pink packaging. 

Zoals je allicht al vaak op de blog hebt kunnen lezen, hou ik normaal van zware en sensuele parfums. Maar met de hoge temperaturen van de afgelopen dagen valt mijn normale geur toch wat zwaar uit. Daarom ging ik tussen mijn staaltjes op zoek naar een waardig alternatief en zo kwam ik uit bij An'na van Annayake.

Allereerst sprak de verpakking mij erg aan, roze in de zomer kan toch bijna niet slecht zijn!? :D Toen ik de geur probeerde, was ik meteen verkocht. An'na heeft toch nog dat sensuele waar ik van hou maar is subtieler aanwezig. Al snel verzacht het parfum nog verder.

As you've probably already read a lot of times on my blog, I usually prefer sensual and intense perfumes. Due to the high temperatures of the last few days my usual perfume has to make some room for a less intense alternative. This is how I ended up trying An'na by Annayake.

The packaging really appealed to me, pink in the summer can't disappoint right!? :D When I first tried on the scent, I was sold right away. An'na has that sensual touch I love but is only subtly present. After a few minutes the scent softens even more.

BEAUTY: Von Eusersdorff perfume - Classic orange eau de parfum

Introduction

De Von Euserdorff geschiedenis begint eeuwen geleden bij een familie van Duitse immigranten. Deze familie baadde een apotheek uit en vergaarde zo veel kennis over geuren, oliën en kruiden. Deze kennis vormt de basis voor het huidige Von Euserdorff parfum, gecreëerd in Grasse, het parfum walhalla.

The Von Euserdorff history starts centuries ago with a family of German immigrants. This family owned an apothecary and gathered a lot of knowledge about scents, oils and herbs. This knowledge established the foundation for the present Von Euserdorff perfume, created in Grasse, the perfume walhalla. 

Packaging

De fles gaat, net zoals het parfum zelf, terug naar de basics. Het design is strak en simpel en straalt daardoor ook een bepaalde klasse uit. De fles is doorzicht met een zwarte dop. Deze fles zit in een wit, kartonnen doosje met daarop gouden belettering.

The bottle, just like the perfume itself, goes back to the basics. The design is lean and simple and radiates a certain class because of it. The bottle is see-through with a black cap. The bottle is wrapped inside a white, carton box with golden lettering.

My experience

Het huidige gamma van Von Eusersdorff bestaat uit 5 geuren, ik mocht Classic Orange reviewen. Deze geur spreekt me meteen aan en brengt zoveel mooie herinneringen bij mij terug. Dat is ook niet moeilijk want de topnoot is afkomstig van de Siciliaanse bloedappelsein. De geur is erg warm en blijft uren hangen. Dit parfum straalt exclusiviteit uit voor alle gelegenheden. 

The current range from Von Euserdorff contains 5 scents, I got to review Classic Orange. The scent appeals to me immediately and brings back so many beautiful memories to me. That's not very strange since the top note is Sicilian blood orange. The scent is very warm and lingers for hours. The perfume radiates exclusivity for all occasions. 

BEAUTY: Versace Eros pour Femme perfume

I'm looking for a new perfume and I think I might have found my perfect match. You know how I'm all about heavy scents and Greek history, and how I'm not a very subtle person. This might just exactly describe Versace's most recent scent: Eros.

Eros is named after the Greek god, who conquers his loved one. But in this ad campaign the woman seduces the man with her fragrance. The flacon is absolutely stunning and a real must-have on my beauty table. It's gold with Medusa engraved and the flacon is wrapped in a golden luxurious box. Lara Stone is the face for this fragrance.

NL: Ik ben op zoek naar een nieuw parfum en ik denk dat ik mijn perfecte match gevonden heb. Jullie weten wellicht dat ik dol ben op zware geuren en Griekse geschiedenis, en dat ik ook niet meteen een subtiel persoon ben. Deze kenmerken omschrijven ook perfect de nieuwe geur van Versace: Eros genaamd.

Eros is genoemd naar de Griekse god, die zijn geliefde veroverd. Maar in deze reclamecampagne verleidt de vrouw de man met haar geur. De flacon is echt prachtig en een echte must-have op mijn make-up tafel. Het is goud met Medusa gegraveerd en de flacon zit vervolgens in een luxe kistje. Lara Stone is het gezicht voor deze geur. 

WISHLIST: Karl Lagerfeld - Paradise Bay VS Repetto - Eau Florale

I'm looking for a new perfume and recently I received some press info on two newbies on the market. The first one being Paradise Bay by Karl Lagerfeld and the seconde one is Eau Florale from Repetto. Can you help me choose?

Kaiser Karl Lagerfeld can basically turn anything into gold. His namesake brand realised its first perfume last year and now it's time for another duo (available for both men and women) called Paradise Bay. Both scents complete each other. Paradise Bay is available limited from half March.

The combo of rose, grapefruit and violets make Eau Florale from Repetto the perfect scent for summer. Eau Florale will be available from April. 

NL: Ik ben op zoek naar een nieuw parfum en onlangs ontving ik persinfo over twee nieuwe geurtjes op de markt. De eerste is Paradise Bay van Karl Lagerfeld en de tweede is Eau Florale van Repetto. 

Kaiser Karl Lagerfeld verandert zo goed als alles in goud. Zijn merk, dat naar hem genoemd is, bracht vorig jaar voor het eerst een parfum op de markt en nu is het alweer tijd voor een nieuw duo (zowel voor mannen als vrouwen) genaamd Paradise Bay. De geuren vullen mekaar aan. Paradise Bay is gelimiteerd verkrijgbaar vanaf half maart. 

De combinatie van roos, pompelmoes en viooltjes maken van Eau Florale van Repetto de perfecte geur voor de zomer. Eau Florale is verkrijgbaar vanaf april.

Package

The bottle is everything you would expect from a classic perfume. It's rectangle shaped with rounded corners. The flacon is see-through. The cap is absolutely stunning as well: it's black and has a very ladylike form.

NL: Het flesje is alles wat je zou verwachten van een klassiek parfum. Het is rechthoekig gevormd met afgeronde hoeken. De flacon is doorzichtig. De dop is ook echt prachtig: zwart en heeft een erg vrouwelijke vorm. 

My opinion

Si by Giorgio Armani is very intense and ladylike scent. The fragrance really appeals to me although I think it would better be worn by someone over 35 like my mom .Or maybe I only feel like this because it's actually her perfume. It figures that Cate Blanchett is the perfect spokeswoman for Si.

I'm not really good at reconising scents but here I go: the first thing I smell is a mix of fruit. It so happens black currant is used to build up this fragrance. I found an online description, saying Si has the following notes: Chypre, Blackcurrant Nectar, Airy Florals, Musky Blond Wood.

I tried it on my wrist and hours later I still smell the fragrance, this is not something that goes for every perfume! That's of course the advantage of working with dominant smell and not everybody is up for that. 

So if you're a fan of strong scents which will lasts for hours, Si by Giorgio Armani is the perfect fragrance for you. You can purchase it on the Ici Paris XL website: € 52,80/30 ml. 

NL: Si by Giorgio Armani is een erg intense en vrouwelijke geur. Het parfum spreekt me aan ook al is het misschien meer geschikt voor dames vanaf 35 jaar zoals mijn mama. Of misschien vind ik dat gewoon omdat dit haar parfum is. Cate Blanchett is dan ook de perfecte vertegenwoordigster voor Si. 

Ik ben niet echt goed in het herkennen van geuren maar ik ga toch een poging doen: het eerste wat ik opmerk is een mix van fruitige geuren. Blijkbaar is de zwarte bes de sterkst aanwezige geur in dit parfum. Online vond ik een volledige omschrijving: Chypre, Blackcurrant Nectar, Airy Florals, Musky Blond Wood.

Ik spoot het parfum op mijn pols en uren later kon je de geur nog steeds herkennen, dat kan zeker niet gezegd worden van elk parfum. Dat is natuurlijk het voordeel van het werken met dominante geuren en niet iedereen is daar voor te vinden. 

Dus als je een fan bent van sterke geuren die uren meegaan, dan is Si by Giorgio Armani de perfecte geur voor jou. Je kunt dit parfum bestellen op de Ici Paris XL website: €52,80/ 30 ml. 

BEAUTY REVIEW: Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium

Do you remember a while ago when Instagram and other social media were taken over by Monsieur Black and his contest to win your "Dose of addiction" by becoming his muse. Well I was one of those lucky bastards to be chosen and to receive this incredible new fragrance. I took me a while to try out because I have been battling a cold but now you can finally read my opinion about it.

NL: Herinneren jullie nog hoe een tijdje geleden Instagram en andere social media werden overspoeld door Monsieur Black en zijn wedstrijd om je "Dose of Addiction" te bemachtigen door zijn muze te worden. Ik was één van de geluksvogels die verkozen werd en deze geweldige nieuwe geur in ontvangst mocht nemen. Het heeft een tijdje geduurd voordat ik Black Opium van Yves Saint Laurent kon uitproberen door een verkoudheid maar nu kunnen jullie hier eindelijk mijn mening lezen.

Normally I don't start off with the package when reviewing a product but in the case of this product you can't really overlook the magnificent perfume bottle and box. The ad for Black Opium was rock chic and the bottle reflects that perfectly. It's made of some shiny and stony kind of material with a pink see-through glass in the middle. The cap is very chic as well.

NL: Normaal begin ik tijdens een review nooit de verpakking maar in dit geval is de verpakking gewoon echt een eyecatcher en kan je niet naast het magnifieke flesje en doosje kijken. De publiciteitscampagne van Black Opium straalde rock chic uit en het flesje geeft dat ook perfect weer. De flacon is gemaakt uit een soort van glanzend en steenachtig materiaal met een roos doorschijn glaasje in het midden. De dop is ook erg chic.

Notes of coffee dominate this scent. But this scent is softend by pink pepper, orange blossom, jasmine, vanilla and cedar. This fragrance is very strong, which I love. If you love more delicate perfumes, skip this one. The scent is not comparable to the old Opium. This scent is much more sexy and rock & roll.

NL: Koffie is de overheersende noot in deze geur. Verder wordt deze verzacht door rode peper, oranjebloesem, Jasmine, vanille en ceder. De geur is erg sterk en hier hou ik wel van. Als je meer voor een verfijnd parfum bent, zou ik deze geur even overslaan. De geur is absoluut niet vergelijkbaar met de oude Opium. Deze geur is veel meer sexy en Rock & Roll.

You can order the Black Opium online or in stores at Ici Paris XL. The 30 ml bottle, which is the one I own, comes at € 50,30. This is maybe a bit pricy for its volume but then again the fragrance is amazing. Have you tried out this perfume already? What's your opinion?

Natalie Portman for Dior

Natalie Portman must be one of the most elegant women in the world and that makes her the perfect face for Dior. With already some campaigns for the brand under her belt, she now gets to promote Dior's newest perfume "Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet".

I can't wait to try this scent on because of several reasons. Firstly I'm a huge fan of the Miss Dior perfumes. The bottles are always super cute and the scent is so sweet. It really draws me in.
Secondly the promo pictures from Natalie Portman look amazing. After seeing them you just want to live the same Parisian lifestyle.
This brings me to reason number 3; I absolutely adore Natalie Portman. She is just so amazingly talented. I first got hooked on her when she played  in the Star Wars movies. BTW: Yes, Stars Wars is one of my guilty pleasures. She's super dedicated to her job as well. You see this in movies such as V for Vendetta or Black Swan. In the first she shaves her head bald and in the latter she had to learn the same routines as a real ballerina.
