New Chanel Make-up

I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday but I'm having the flu and had a really bad day. But I'm planning to make it up to you. Over the weekend I visited my favourite make-up store Ici Paris XL and bought three new products.

The first one is the Chanel Stylo yeux waterproof long-lasting eyeliner. I have been using it for over a year now and I'm super pleased about it. I hate real kohl eyeliners. This Chanel eyeliner is kind of soft crayon which you don't have to sharpen. The line doesn't fade during the evening though I must admit it sometimes tend to blur a bit.

The second product I bought was le volume de Chanel mascara in black. Lately I used Dior show but I wasn't satisfied about it anymore. After a while the mascara started to dry out. A saleswoman at Ici Paris advised me le volume de Chanel because it gives both volume and length. I'm quite pleased about  this one. It doesn't blur but for me a mascara should be more visible and thicker.

The 3th product I bought was the Taboo 583 nailpolish. This nailpolish caught my eye because of its color. It 's a purple metallic but it has a red shine as well. Or so it seems at least. Unfortunately when you apply the nailpolish, the red shine isn't visible anymore. Once it's on your nails, the color reminds me a lot of the "Bête noire" from Estée Lauder, which is a color I already own. Don't misunderstand me: I really adore this color and the one from Estée Lauder is almost used up. But I wish the red shine would be visible on your nails as well. I would definitely advise to use two layers.

Because I bought three Chanel products I also got a Chanel make up bag.

A Saturday afternoon at Jimmy Choo

Last summer I've been searching and searching for the perfect pair of new sunglasses but unfortunately I couldn't find a pair that exactly matched my desires. I had a fancy frame in mind with a touch of gold. So when I entered the Jimmy Choo shop Saturday, looking for new flats, I couldn't imagine finding the perfect pair of sunglasses there.

So like I said I was looking for flats. I bought my previous pair of Jimmy Choo flats a couple of years ago in London and I'm super pleased about them. The quality is amazing. I still have them and although I almost wear them every day during the summer, they're still in a good shape.

Looking around in the shop, a couple pairs of shoes immediately hit my wishlist but unfortunately Jimmy Choo Antwerp doesn't over seize 42. But I didn't get a lot of time to be sad. Someone from the staff offered the clients some cocktails and macarons. While sipping at my champagne the rack with sunglasses catched my eye. Before I knew it I had fallen in love with the perfect pair of sunglasses. They have this brownish print with a golden frame. Do you like them?

btw: I've also added some pictures from my outfit. As you can see my leather pants and biker boots have become my favourite shopping outfit.

Colorhungry at Pinko

About two months ago I attended the FW fashion show from Pinko at their store in Antwerp. Read the report about that night here. Pinko is an Italian brand that's very innovative and contemporary. Pinko offers clothes for every kind of woman. I would describe this season's collection as a combination of grunge, punk, lots of black & white pieces, camu, pop art and of course some evening dresses as well.

After the fashion show we got an invitation to have a meeting with a color consultant. So yesterday my friend and I were off to Antwerp again. Nele from Colorhungry welcomed us very warmly and explained how a color analysis works. From every color she has 4 different clothes with different shades of each color. Each time Nele and we decided which color shade suited us best.

Nele started off with putting a gold and silver cloth in front of us. By doing this she can check which season type you are. I'm a winter type which means I have a blue undertone in my skin. After the session you get a color passport with a guideline to which colors to wear and which colors to avoid. I think this is  very interesting because firstly I discovered some new colors which I never imagined wearing but exactly looked very good on me. Secondly these colors show you how to emphasize your face in a good way and who doesn't want that?
Nonetheless I also believe style and dressing up comes from a feeling inside. Some clothes simply give you good feeling and I will keep on following this feeling as well. For example with my skin it would be better to wear silver jewelry but my personality is more attracted to golden jewelry. I like to stand out in a crowd and over and over again I'm more attracted to big and golden jewelry.

Still I would advise this color analysis to everyone. It's very interesting to see what different shades of every color does with your face. Normally when you go shopping you're not aware of this difference. But when in doubt during a shopping trip I will definitely keep this color passport in mind.

I would like to thank Pinko and Nele from Colorhungry for this interesting afternoon.

My week on Instagram

This was my week through Instragram pictures:

The start of a great weekend. As some of you may know, the drawings of the Football World cup were last Friday. At the local pub they organised a drawing but this one was about drinks.

Gifts for my godchild: Zara dresses and cookies! Do you like them?

Birthdayparty from my best friend Anouk!

Armcandy by Stretch that Dollar. I already owned the first 2: the stone and the hand. Last sunday I bought two new ones: the snake and the eye.

Friend's night out. A lovely ravioli with ricotta and mushrooms.

Fallen leaves

My loyal readers will already know that I'm not a huge fan of cold temperatures. Therefor I don't have a lot of outfit posts at the moment. I simply shudder at the thought of being outside unnecessary. Nonetheless I live nearby Tongeren, which is a town with a lot of beautiful sights. Sunday I was in Tongeren and my mother quickly took some shots of my outfit.

New party outfit

Yesterday was my best friend's birthday party. A special occasion acquires a special outfit. Earlier this week you could read how I went to the showing of the party collection from Bobo. This shop sells the brand Rinascimento and I bought a dress from this brand. The dress has the kind of cut I have been looking for quite some time. It's tight and with one sleeve, which is something I like a lot. The dress was available in different colour combinations and I opted for nude with a black sleeve because believe it or not; I didn't have a nude dress yet. I finished this outfit off with some classic jewelry and heels. What do you think about the outfit?
