FASHION: Kendall Jenner

NL: Eerder schreef ik al eens een inspiratie post over Kim Kardashian, vandaag is haar jongere zusje Kendall Jenner aan  de beurt. Waar sommige criticasters wel eens durven te beweren dat de andere Kardashians geen talent hebben, heeft Kendall dat in overvloed. Ze is uit de schaduw van haar oudere zussen getreden en is een gegeerd model. Voor alle grote merken stond ze wel al eens op de catwalk: Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Diane Von Furstenberg,...  Jenner is het gezicht van Estée Lauder en de Balmain x H&M collectie maar steeds meer begint ze ook haar stempel te drukken op de streetstyle trends.

Kendall Jenner heeft natuurlijk elke grote designer op speed-dial staan en alles zit gegoten op haar prachtige lichaam. Maar afgelopen Paris Fashion Week wist ze mijn hart definitief te stelen als stijlicoon. Daarom breng ik met deze blogpost een kleine ode aan Kendall's stijl. Wat vind jij van Kendall Jenner's stijl?

ENG: Earlier I wrote an inspiration post about Kim Kardashian, today it's younger sister Kendall Jenner's turn. Some critics consider the other Kardashians as talentless, but this can definitely not be said about Kendall. She stepped out of the shadow of her older sisters and is a highly wanted model. She has already walked the catwalk for every high-end brand: Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Diane Von Furstenberg,... Jenner is also the face of Estée Lauder and the Balmain x H&M collection but lately she also emerges as a streetstyle star.

Kendall Jenner has every big designer on speed-dial and everything suits her gorgeous body. Nonetheless she definitely stole my heart with her style during the last Paris Fashion Week. Therefore I dedicate this blogpost to Kendall's style. How do you feel about Kendall Jenner's style?  

STYLE REPORT: queen Maxima

Ever since the historic day Maxima and Willem-Alexander became queen and king, she was also crowned as the most fashionable queen of Europe. Maxima knows how to dress for every occasion: formal state visit, a party,... Her style is quite straightforward for a queen and often very colourful. Maxima also wears leather, which is an unusual fabric for a queen. Her favourite designers are Jan Taminiau, Natan and Valentino.

NL: Sinds de historische dag waarop Maxima en Willem-Alexander koning en koningin werden, werd zij ook gekroond tot de meest stijlvolle koningin van Europa. Maxima weet zich super te kleden voor elke gelegenheid: een formeel staatsbezoek, een feestje... Haar stijl is erg vooruitstrevend voor een  koningin en erg kleurrijk. Maxima draagt bijvoorbeeld ook leer, dat is een ongewone stof voor iemand van adel. Haar favoriete ontwerpers zijn Jan Taminiau, Natan en Valentino.

OUTFIT: Spring in the castle courtyard

The past weekend I finally had some time to do a decent outfit shoot. Luckily my best friend was available and the sun was shining. We chose Alden Biesen, this is a castle in Bilzen, as location for our shoot. This castle and the courtyard, gardens,... around it are amazing definitely during spring.

Alden Biesen offers lots of cultural activities, impressive gardens, a lunch bar and a restaurant. This area is also perfect for a nice walk or pick nick. During the shoot we used different backgrounds, so you already get a good idea of the castle grounds.

For my outfit I chose the maxi dress I got from my aunt. This is an outfit piece that not everybody likes. Some of my friends think it's very pretty, others think it looks ridiculous. I think it suits me well although I feel more comfortable in a shorter dress. Because it was a bit windy yesterday I chose to match the dress with a dark blue blazer. As accessories I wore my headband from the H&M Conscious exclusive collection, my Michael Kors watch, the blue Michael Kors bag from my mother and my favourite bracelets from Stretch that Dollar.

INSPIRATION: Easter outfit

Easter is a quite strange holiday. I think most people from my generation doesn't celebrate it anymore although Easter often means family dinners anyway. When I was thinking about what to wear for Easter, polka dots immediately popped on my mind. STYLE INSPIRATION: Kim Kardashian

One of my favourite tv shows is Keeping up with the Kardashians. I guess this family doesn't need any introduction. If it does, you have probably been living on another planet the past couple of years. The show gives me a relaxed feeling after a hard day at the office and it takes my mind of other stuff.

I adore the crazy Kardashian lifestyle and their (sometimes) pointless dramas. I think the three sisters have a great clothing style as well. Kim, Khloé and Kourtney have 3 different figures and they dress really well in my opinion. I think they look really great without having a "perfect" figure. 

My favourite Kardashian is Kim. She comes across as a very sweet and hardworking girl. Kim used to be a stylist before she became famous because of dubious reasons. 

In the past Kim has often been criticized because of her clothing style. I must admit she made some bad choices especially during her pregnancy. It seemed like she didn't want to accept the fact that her body became bigger, remember the  plastic shoes which looked very painful. Since her relationship with Kanye West, her style even improved and she instantly became a designer favourite. 

Kim doens't have the standard perfect body but I love how she doesn't hide her curves and shows them with pride. I would compare my clothing style a bit to her. I don't have a small clothing size either but I'm not going to stop wearing dresses and skirts either. 

Kim's wardrobe mostly exists out of designer clothing. She often wears bodycon dresses and pencil skirts. Her range of amazing coats seems (or probably is) endless. I can't remember seeing Kim ever on flat shoes, except while doing sports. The Kardashians are real Louboutin lovers.
