EVENT: Trek Food Truck Festival

NL: Wie mij een weetje kent, weet ik dat een echte food fanaat ben. Als het van mij afging, gingen we met z'n allen elke dag uiteten. Het leven is te kort om niet lekker te eten. Vorige week vond ik Maastricht het Trek Food Truck Festival plaats in het pittoreske Stadspark. Onder een stralend zonnetje verzamelden vier dagen lang zich een massa rond de lekkerste eet- en drank standjes. 

Voor ieder wat wils op het Trek Food Truck Festival: van Amerikaanse hamburgers tot Italiaanse pasta's en van Vietnamese hapjes tot Hollandse poffertjes. Ook voor de drinkers onder ons was er keuze genoeg met onder andere een bierwagen, een wijnterras en een gin bar. Verder was er ook verschillende vormen van entertainment voorzien. ENG: Those who know me, now I'm a true foodie. If it depended on me, we all would go out for dinner every single day. Life is too short to not enjoy lots of food. Last week the Trek Food Truck Festival took place in the gorgeous Stadspark of Maastricht. Four days long a lot of people gathered around the most delicious food and drink booths. 

There's something for everyone's liking at the Trek Food Truck Festival: from American hamburgers to Italian pasta's and from Vietnamese bites to Dutch pancakes. There was also plenty of choice for those who just wanted to enjoy some drinks with a beer car, a wine terrace and a gin bar. The organisation provided quite some entertainment as well. EVENT: Stylesuite Fashion Night Out

NL: Designer winkel Stylesuite is een begrip in Maastricht en omstreken. Seizoen na seizoen gaan de aankopers op jacht naar de hipste luxe merken om hun klanten te verwennen. Stylesuite weet dan ook perfect waarnaar hun trendy publiek op zoek is. Verder kan je er ook terecht voor een overheerlijk tas koffie of een cocktail en dit allemaal in een inspirerend interieur.

Afgelopen zaterdag woonde ik het Fashion Night Out event bij waarbij je de nieuwste collectie kon ontdekken, al knabbelend van een lekker hapje en drankje. Een leuke Kenzo trui, een klassevol kostuum of een overheerlijk parfum van Von Eusersdorff; voor ieder wat wils. Ga zeker eens een kijkje nemen als je in de buurt van Maastricht bent.

Stylesuite knows its trendy clients by heart  and know what they are looking for. Furthermore you can also pass by Stylesuite for a delicious cup of coffee or a cocktail while enjoying the inspirational architecture. 

Last Saturday I attensed the Fashion Night Out event during which clients could discover the newest collections while enjoying a delicious bite and drink. A pretty Kenzo sweater, a perfect suit or an amazing perfume from Von Eusersdorff; there's something for everybody. Don't hesitate to visit Stylesuite when you're in the neighbourhood.

HOTSPOT: TaarT Zaak

In today's blogpost I'm keeping my promise to share more of the places I go to for delicious food. My inner circle knows me as a real foodie and often asks me restaurant advice. Since I'm from a more rural province, the nice restaurants, coffee bars, ... are not numerous. But I managed to find a treasure just a 15 minute car drive away.

This time I'm reviewing a coffee and pie bar called TaarT Zaak, which is located in the centre of Maastricht. TaarT Zaak caught my eye with their cute windows filled with amazing fake cakes and pies. As a real sweet tooth I just couldn't resist and entered. The place is decorated just perfectly, it's a mix and match of vintage furniture. You immediately get the feeling of visiting some English aunt for tea time. My mom and I both chose a piece of chocolate cake which was too delicious to put into words. You won't regret visiting TaarT Zaak!

NL: In de blogpost van vandaag hou ik mijn belofte om meer plaatsten te delen waar ik heerlijk ga uiteten. In mijn vriendengroep sta ik bekend als een echte foodie en daarom word ik dan ook vaak om restauranttips gevraagd. Vermits ik van een meer landelijke provincie kom, zijn de leuke restaurants, koffiebars,... niet talrijk gezaaid. Maar  toch ben ik er in geslaagd om een parel op 15 minuten van mijn thuis te vinden. 

Vandaag review ik een koffie en gebakzaak genaamd TaarT Zaak, die zich bevindt in het hartje van Maastricht. TaarT Zaak wist me te bekoren met hun schattige ramen gevuld met geweldige neptaarten en gebakjes. De zoetebek in mij kon hier niet aan weerstaan en stapte binnen. Deze zaak is perfect gedecoreerd, het is een mix en match van vintage meubilair. Je krijgt meteen het gevoel alsof je op theevisite bent bij een Engelse tante. Mijn moeder en ik kozen allebei een stuk chocoladecake en deze was te heerlijk voor woorden. Een echte aanrader!

OUTFIT: Christmas shopping

Saturday I visited Maastricht with my mom to do some Christmas shopping and visit the magical Winter Wonderland. I'm not completely pleased with the pictures because the market was a bit busy which makes it hard to shoot decently. It was quite cold this weekend so I covered up very warm.
Keep an eye on my blog to see what I bought and I already did an outfit shoot with my new items which will be online soon as well.

NL: Zaterdag bezocht ik Maastricht met mijn mama om wat kerstshoppen te doen en bezochten we het Magical Winter Wonderland. Ik ben niet 100% tevreden met de foto's, de kerstmarkt werd erg druk bezocht wat het moeilijk maakte om degelijke foto's te trekken. Het was best koud dit weekend dus kleedde ik me lekker warm aan. Hou mijn blog in de gaten want ik heb ook al een outfit shoot voorbereid met mijn nieuwe items, deze zal snel online komen.

HOTSPOT: Kiwi Maastricht

As you can see in the banner from my blog, I try to enjoy all the good things in life. So fashion and beauty isn't my only guilty pleasure, checking out new clubs and restaurants are amongst them as well.

One of my favourite restaurants can be found in Maastricht (the Netherlands) and is called Kiwi. I visit this place regularly since a couple of years. Kiwi is very trendy place which is very popular among students. There are several reasons for Kiwi's popularity; it's a place where you can really enjoy yourself with free wifi and great music, delicious food (starters, meals, desserts) and cocktails are offered at very decent prizes, the portions are quite big. Take-away is possible as well.

Maastricht is a very international city with students from Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany so the main language at Kiwi is English. You can check the menu on their website. For starters I would advise the nachos with cheese and guacamole. As a main course you should try out their homemade pizzas or one of their amazing hamburgers. Some great desserts are on the menu as well, the chocolate fudge is my favourite.

This fedora is very versatile and can both be worn in the winter and summer. I will definitely be wearing it during my holiday in Tuscany.

Kate Moss is one of my idols plus this shirt is another basic piece that can be combined with almost anything.
