Packaging

ENG: The packaging is the classis see-through bottle. There's a lovely silver cap to close the bottle, the "CD" logo is engraved in it.

NL: De verpakking is het klassieke, doorzichtige flesje. Het flesje is afgesloten met een prachtige, zilveren dop, het logo "CD" zit erin gegraveerd.

My experience

Regular readers of my blog know that Dior is by far my favourite beauty brands. What I absolutely love about Dior are there nail polishes. So far I only had positive experiences with Dior nail polishes and Pandore didn't change that. One layer of nail polish is enough for a great coverage and with a top coat (Kiko e.g.) it doesn't chip for days. The pigmentation is amazing as well. I would describe Pandore as a red from the mid category or tomato red.

Like all the other Dior nail polishes, the application is super easy thanks to the user-friendly brush. The colour spreads so easily and doesn't pool on the edges. Did I mention the nail polish dries  fast as well?

NL: Mensen, die mijn blog regelmatig lezen, weten natuurlijk allang dat Dior mijn favoriete beauty merk is. Mijn favoriete Dior product is zonder twijfel de nagellak. Tot dusver had ik alleen maar positieve ervaringen met de Dior nagellak en Pandore heeft dit zeker niet veranderd. Eén laagje zorgt al voor een perfecte dekking en dankzij een extra top coat (bv. Kiko) schilfert hij de eerste dagen niet. De pigmentatie is ook top. Ik zou Pandore omschrijven als een rode kleur van de midden categorie of tomaat rood. 

Net zoals bij alle andere Dior nagellak, is ook bij deze de applicatie super makkelijk dankzij het gebruiksvriendelijke borsteltje. De kleur laat zich makkelijk uitsmeren en loopt niet over de randen. Had ik trouwens ook al vermeld dat de nagellak heel snel droogt?

BEAUTY REVIEW: Diorific Golden Shock Top Coat - Limited edition Christmas

Ever since I saw the Diorific Golden shock top coat on beauty blogs, I knew I had to get my hands on it. It's everything I want: sparkly, gold, chic,... After reading this review I'm sure you'll love it too.

NL: Sinds ik de Diorific Golden Shock top coat op een beauty blog zag, wist ik dat ik deze moest te pakken krijgen. Dit product is alles dat ik wil: sprankelend, goud, chic,.. En na het lezen van deze review ben ik er zeker van dat jullie er ook zullen van houden. 

The package is splendid and even if the nail polish wouldn't be great, you would still love it because of the bottle which could easily serve as a magnificent piece of interior decoration. The package is soft gold with all the product information written on it. The bottle itself has a nice spherical shape with a lovely golden cap. Christian Dior is engraved in it softly.

NL: De verpakking is geweldig en ook al zou de nagellak niet goed zijn, dan zou je het nog steeds komen gewoon omwille van het prachtige flesje dat als deco zou kunnen gebruikt worden. De verpakking is zacht goud met alle productinformatie erop geschreven. Het flesje zelf is lichtjes gebold met een geweldige gouden top. Christian Dior staat er lichtjes in gegraveerd. 

The Diorific golden Shock (001) is a clear top coat with gold leaf. I applied it on top of a red nail polish. Depending on how much of the golden leaves is on the brush, it's possible you'll need two layers.

NL: De Diorific Golden Shock (001) is een doorzichtige top coat met gouden stukjes erin. Ik bracht deze top coat aan bovenop een rode nagellak. Afhankelijke van hoeveel gouden stukjes op het borsteltje zitten, heb je al dan niet twee lagen nodig. 

I bought this nail polish at the Ici Paris XL store for € 26,00. I realize that this is very expensive for a bottle of top coat but I wanted it so badly. Now I have my eye on another nail polish from the Diorific Holiday collection: the vernis 990 Smoky.

Package:

The package is simple but sophisticated. The bottle is see-through with Dior's name and the name of the nail polish mentioned on it. The bottle has a silver cap.

My own experience:

I really adored this color immediately when I spotted it and it's a great match with my Yves Saint Laurent lipstick. As you can see in the swatches above and below, one layer is not enough to reach that fuchsia shade. At most you get a dark pink look. Two layers do the work tough. The Dior nail polish is very easy to apply and doesn't smear. This is very important since I'm quite clumsy.

As a minus point I have to note that I miss the gel effect that Dior promises. Even with two layers, the nail polish is not thick enough to resemble gel effect.
