My favourite beauty reviews from 2014

Yesterday I showed you my favourite outfits from 2014. Another thing I love writting about are beauty products so today I'll be showing you my 10 favourite products from 2014. Do you use any of them? Which is your favorite?

1) Dior Hydra Life Creme Protection SPF15

Dior Hydra Life is in my life for so many years now simply because it's the best day creamm.

2) Celluli Laser Size Code from Biotherm

Don't we all hate cellulites? I discovered this miracle worker.

3) Estee Lauder - Idealist pore minimazing skin 

If I hate anything more than cellulites, then that would probably be my pores. Therefor I often use the Estée Lauder Idealist.

4)  Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture lipstick nr 7 Le Fuchsia

The color of this lipstick is pretty amazing and I feel kind of special everytime I wear it.

5)  Yves Saint Laurent Ombres 5 lumières eye shadow

Another great Yves Saint Laurent product I purchased this year. The colors of this palette are not very conventional so I don't wear it that often. The quality of this eye shadow is great nontheless. 

6) Chanel Rouge Allure 99 Pirate lipstick

A girl never has enough red lipsticks in this dark red one from Chanel is just perfect.

7)  Kiko Perfect Base Corrector

No make-up look is complete without a good primer. I'm pretty hooked on this one from Kiko.

8) Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium

Best perfume discovery from 2014.

9) Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess powder

I love a good tan unfortunately I need some help during these harsh winter timers. The Bronze Goddess powder from Estée Lauder is a top product.

The perfect  toap coat to bring the festivities to your nails. 

BEAUTY REVIEW: Kiko Perfect Base Corrector

Any good thing starts with a decent base. For creating a perfect make-up look you need a primer. For those who don't know what a primer is: this is a product that you put underneath your normal make-up to improve coverage and durability of your look.

NL: Alle goede dingen beginnen met een degelijke basis. Om de perfecte make-up look te creëren, heb je een primer nodig. Voor diegene wat niet weten wat een primer is: Het is een product dat je aanbrengt onder make-up om de dekking en de houdbaarheid van je look te verbeteren.

While I was on business trip to Cologne I forgot my usual (read my mother's) primer at home. Because of the humid conditions in the building I had to be in whole day long, my make-up was a total mess. One of the nights I was in Cologne, I visited the local Kiko store and purchased the Perfect Base Corrector.

As you can see in the pictures, the formula is transparent. A tiny bit of product is enough to cover my face completely. My skin feels like velvet and foundation glides on it easily.

NL: Terwijl ik op business trip was naar Keulen vergat ik mijn gewoonlijke (lees: mijn moeders) primer thuis. Door de vochtige omstandigheden in het gebouw waarin ik de hele dag werkte, was mijn schmink echt een ramp. Op een avond zijn we gaan shoppen en bezocht ik het Kiko filiaal en kocht ik de Perfect Base Corrector.

Zoals je in de foto's kunt zien, is de formule transparant. Een klein beetje van het product is al genoeg om mijn gezicht volledig te dekken. Mijn huid voelt echt als fluweel en de foundation glijdt makkelijk erover.

The main question of course is: how pleased am I about this product? Well I'm absolutely excited about this primer's efficiency. It's perfect for my oily skin and doesn't cause irritations. I can only think of one downside and that's the smell of the primer, it smells quite weird.

NL: De hoofdvraag is natuurlijk: Hoe tevreden ben ik over dit product? Wel ik ben absoluut heel tevreden over de efficiëntie van dit product. Het is perfect voor mijn vettige huid en veroorzaakt geen irritaties. Ik kan maar één nadeel bedenken en dat is de geur van de primer, het ruikt echt raar.

All in all € 9,00 for 25ml of good working product isn't that much. If I don't find a better primer by the time I have finished this one, I will definitely buy it again. Are you keen to try out the Kiko Perfect Base Corrector? Which primer do you use?
