TRAVEL: Hotel Torino Wellness & Spa Diano Marina

Het voordeel aan een vakantie is dat je daarna veel blogmateriaal hebt. Vorige week kon je al lezen dat we aan de Côte D'Azur verbleven. Van daaruit zijn we vervolgens doorgereden naar de Italiaanse Bloemen Riviera. Daar verbleven we in hotel Torino in het stadje Diano Marino.

The advantage of going on a holiday is that you come home with lots of blogging material. Last week you could already read about our stay at the Côte d'Azur. Thereafter we travelled further to the Italian Flower Riviera. Hotel Torino in the small town Diano Marino was the place in which we stayed.

Het onthaal was bijzonder hartelijk en in tegenstelling tot veel Italianen, konden deze receptionistes uitstekend Engels. Je merkten dat deze mensen kennis van zaken hadden en vlotjes alles uitlegden. Vervolgens werden we begeleidt naar onze ruime kamer.

We were welcomed very warmly and in opposition to many Italians, these receptionists spoke English fluently. You immediately feel like this people know their job and give you all the information you need right away. Afterwards we were guided to our room.

De kamer was heel proper en modern ingericht. Er stonden enkele lekkernijen op ons te wachten en een zalig bed. De badkamer was voorzien van een regendouche, hier kon ik echt uren onder blijven staan. In de badkamer is ingericht met marmer, waarom hebben bloggers hier zo een crush op eigenlijk !?

The room was very clean and modern. A few lovely delicacies were awaiting us and an amazing bed as well. The bath room is foreseen with a rain shower, I could have stayed underneath it for hours. A lot of marble is used in the decoration of the bath room. What is it with bloggers and marble anyway!?

Het ontbijt vond elke ochtend plaats op de bovenste verdieping waar je een uitzicht op zee hebt. Het ontbijt was tip top in orde, ik kan echt geen minpunt bedenken. Er waren verschillende soorten kazen, broodjes, croissants, beleg confituur, yoghurt, fruit, eieren en ga zo nog maar eventjes door. Als kers op de kaart was er elke dag een super lieve dame die verse pannenkoeken en omeletten bereidde. Wow super gewoon!

The breakfast takes place each morning on the top floor which will provide you with a view on the sea. The breakfast was just perfect, I can't think of any drawbacks. There were different kind of cheeses, rolls, croissants, marmalade, yoghurt, fruit, eggs and so on. As icing on the cake there was a super nice lady preparing fresh pancakes and omelettes each day. This hotel knows the way to my heart!

Een dikke pluim trouwens voor de volledige personeelsgroep. Stuk voor stuk waren deze mensen heel behulpzaam, vriendelijk en goed geïnformeerd. Andere accommodaties waar je gebruik van kunt maken: parking bij hotel, een spa & wellness, indien gewenst kan je in het hotel à la carte dineren. 

Kudos to the complete staff by the way. Each and every one of them was so helpful, friendly and well informed. Other accommodations provided by the hotel: parking nearby, a spa & wellness and you can have dinner à la carte.

Ook de ligging van het hotel is geweldig. Op enkele honderden meters wandelen, ligt het commercieel centrum van het kleine maar gezellige Diano Marino. Ondanks het feit dat het hotel redelijk groot was, had je toch geen geluidsoverlast. 

The location of the hotel is on point as well. The city centre is only a small walk away. Although the hotel was quite big, we had no complaints about noise disturbance.

TRAVEL: Villa Manu B&B review

De afgelopen negen dagen verbleef ik met mijn ouders op vakantie aan de Côte D'Azur en de Italiaanse Bloemen Riviera. Tijdens ons verblijf aan de Côte D'Azur, overnachten we bij Villa Manu. De eigenares van deze B&B, Manuela, doet er alles aan om je thuis te doen voelen. En met alles bedoel ik ook letterlijk alles. 

The past nine days I enjoyed a holiday with my parents at the Côte D'Azur and the Italian flower Riviera. During our stay at the Côte D'Azur we spend the nights at Villa Manu. The owner of this B&B, Manuela, does everything to make you feel at home. And with everything, I mean literally everything. 

We werden verwelkomd met een aperitiefje, waarna we een rondleiding kregen door de prachtige accommodatie. De villa is ingericht is luxe stijl met mooie afwerking. In de tuin is gekozen voor een Mediterrane stijl en de tuinman onderhoudt alles minutieus. 

We were welcomed with an aperitif, after which we got a tour through the gorgeous accommodation. The villa is decorated in a luxurious style with gorgeous finishes. In the garden is opted for a Mediterranean style and the gardener maintains it faithfully.

De kamers waren misschien een beetje klein, al komt dit ook wel doordat wij met drie zijn in plaats van twee. Maar alles wat je kunt wensen, was aanwezig. De kamers zijn netjes en proper, waar ik heel veel waarde aan hecht. Ook de badkamer werd elke dag voorzien van nieuwe handdoeken en toiletartikelen. 

The rooms were a bit small but this might also be due the fact that we were with three people instead of two. But everything you wish for, is available. The rooms are neat and clean, which is very important to me. The bath room is provided with new towels and toilet products every day.

's Morgens wachten er overheerlijke broodjes, croissants, beleg en koffie op ons. Het aanbod kan misschien een beetje miniem lijken maar Manuela staat open voor elke vraag. Mis je er iets, vraag er dan zeker naar! Doordat villa Manu slechts drie kamers aanbiedt, kan zij natuurlijk ook geen gigantisch ontbijt voorzien. Daar tegenover staat wel het huiselijk gevoel en de rust, die je vaker minder goed vindt in een hotel.

In the morning delicious rolls, croissants, cheese and coffee were awaiting us. The offering may seem a bit tiny but Manuela tries to provide everything you ask for. If you want something, just ask for it! Because villa Manu only offers three rooms, she can't prepare a gigantic breakfast of course. But instead you get that homey feeling and peace, which you often don't get at a hotel.

Elke avond kan je ook genieten van een viergangenmenu, klaar gemaakt door de gastvrouw zelf. Dit is volledig vrijblijvend, voor een menu wordt ongeveer € 30 aangerekend. Ook hier geldt weer: laat Manuela zeker weten wat je wel of niet graag hebt. Voor mij maakte ze speciaal vegetarische lasagne en voor mijn papa ging ze op een markt een overheerlijke vis kopen. Er wordt rekening gehouden met elke wens. De moelleux als dessert was echt hemels. 

Each evening you can consume a four course meal, prepared by the hostess herself. This is optional, a menu comes at € 30 approximately. Again: let Manuela know what you like and what you don't. She prepared especially for me a vegetarian lasagne and she got a delicious fish at a local market for my dad. She tries to fulfil every wish. The chocolate moelleux was truly the best. 

Villa Manu was ook super gelegen om bijvoorbeeld Nice, Saint-Tropez of Cannes te bezoeken. Al deze locaties zijn vlot te bereiken met de wagen. Als pluspunt dien ik ook nog de uitstekende Wi-Fi aan te halen, als blogger is dit toch wel belangrijk. 

Villa Manu is perfectly located to visit for example Nice, Saint-Tropez or Cannes. All these cities were easily reachable by car. As a bonus I also want to mention the excellent Wi-Fi, which is very important to a blogger as me.

BEAUTY: Carven L'Absolu Eau de Parfum

Voor deze nog geraffineerdere en ergens wel kostbaardere geurcompositie koos Carven witte lak en goud. Carven L'Absolu is een fascinerend parfum. Packaging

Dit is één van de mooiste verpakkingen die ik al gezien heb en helemaal mijn ding. De fles is wit en van een soort dikke aluminium materie gemaakt. Het flesje is rond en is afgewerkt met een gouden sticker met daarop de naam van het parfum.  De dop straalt veel luxe uit dankzij het gebruik van zowel goud als plexi materiaal.
Het flesje zit op zijn beurt in een kartonnen doosje dat uit goud en wit bestaat.

This is one of the most gorgeous packaging I've ever seen and completely my thing. The bottle is white and made of some kind of aluminium material. The bottle is round and has a golden sticker with the name of the fragrance on it. The cap radiates luxury because of the combination of gold and plexi material.
The bottle is inside a carton box which is finished off with gold and white.

My experience:

De geur is een waar genot. Hij is bijzonder zwoel en sexy, echt een geur voor vrouwen met veel zelfvertrouwen. Ik deed geur op de bovenkant van mijn hand en ging enkele uren op stap. Toen ik thuis kwam was de geur nog steeds daar. Super toch!? Als ik de geur het best wil omschrijven, zou ik zeggen: een enorm boeket bloemen.

De mooie flacon vind ik toch wel een groot pluspunt vermits ik wel van wat luxe hou. Deze geur is verkrijgbaar bij elk Planet Parfum filiaal of online. Ik kreeg de flacon van 100 ml, dit kost €90,50.

The fragrance is a true pleasure. It's very sensual and sexy, a scent for women with a lot of confidence. I sprayed a bit of perfume on the upper side of my hand and went out for a few hours. After coming home, I still smelled the fragrance. Isn't that great!? If I really have to describe the scent, I would see it's like a huge bouquet of flowers.

The pretty flacon is a big asset because I like a bit of luxury. This scent is available in each Planet Parfum store or online. I received the flacon from 100 ml, this comes at € 90,50.

BEAUTY: L'extase by Nina Ricci

Description

The bottle design imitates a minaudière clutch from the archives of Nina Ricci, in mauve with a black satin ribbon around its neck. The box is decorated with colors of dusky pink, black and gold. The bottle is quite compact and fits perfectly into every bag.

NL: Het ontwerp van het flesje is geïmiteerd op een clutch uit de archieven van Nina Ricci, het is paars met een zwarte satijnen strik rond de nek. Het doosje bestaat uit de kleuren pastel roze, zwart en goud. Het flesje is redelijk compact en past daardoor perfect in elke tas. 

My experience

The composition of this scent is very floral and oriental. With other words: the perfect scent for me. I've never have been overwhelmed by a perfume before but you need to spritz very careful with this one. You should only wear this fragrance if you don't mind being noticed and people asking which perfume you're wearing.  L'Extase by Nina Ricci can be purchased on the Ici Paris XL website.

NL: De opbouw van deze geur is erg bloemig en Oosters. Met andere woorden: de perfecte  geur voor mij. Ik ben nog nooit overweldigd door een parfum maar met deze geur moet je echt voorzichtig spuiten. Deze geur is enkel weggelegd voor mensen  die het niet erg vinden om opgemerkt te worden en bestookt te worden met vragen over dit parfum. L'extase van Nina Ricci kan bijvoorbeeld aangekocht worden op de Ici Paris XL website. 

BEAUTY: Givenchy Le Vernis nr 22 Noir Satin

It may come to no surprise that I found the perfect black nail polish at the Givenchy counter. This brand is known for its Rock&Roll image. Below you can read my findings on this nail polish.

NL: Het zal allicht geen verrassing zijn dat ik de perfecte zwarte nagellak vond bij de Givenchy stand. Dit merk staat bekend om zijn Rock&Roll imago. Hieronder kunnen jullie mijn bevindingen lezen over deze nagellak. 

Package:

The nail polish is in a square. see-through bottle. There's a silver cap on top with the Givenchy logo gorgeously engraved. I really like the cardboard box as well. It's so luxurious with the Givenchy logo in dark red.

NL: De nagellak zit in een vierkant en doorzichtig flesje. Er zit een zilveren dop op met het Givenchy logo prachtig gegraveerd. Ik vind het kartonnen doosje ook erg mooi. Dit oogt er luxueus met het Givenchy logo in donkerrood.

My experience:

Black nail polish is always a little bit tricky. Not many brands have a decent black nail polish in their range. This one is from Givenchy and it's the best black nail polish I had so far. It's not as good as some of the other nail polishes I own but I really think this has something to do with the colour. The coverage is really good if you apply two layers.

The finish is kind of glossy which gives a very chic touch. The brush reminds me a bit of Dior, remember me telling you how easy this brush is to apply nail polish? I almost had the same feeling with this Givenchy nail polish.

NL: Zwarte nagellak ligt altijd een beetje moeilijk om aan te brengen. Niet veel merken hebben een degelijke zwarte nagellak in hun gamma. Deze van Givenchy is de beste zwarte nagellak die ik tot nu toe gehad heb. Hij is niet zo goed als sommige andere nagellakjes die ik heb maar ik denk echt dat dat aan de kleur ligt. De dekking is heel goed na twee laagjes.

De afwerking is best glanzend wat het geheel wat chiquer doet lijken. Het borsteltje doet mij een beetje denken aan dat van Dior, herinner je nog toen ik vertelde hoe handig dit borsteltje is? Ik had bijna hetzelfde magische gevoel bij deze Givenchy nagellak.

BEAUTY REVIEW: Dior Vernis - Spring 2015 Limited Edition nr 660 Glory and topcoat Eclosion

In today's blogpost I'm reviewing my two new Dior nail polishes: nr 660 Glory which is part of the spring 2015 limited edition collection and the matching topcoat Eclosion.

NL: In de blogpost van vandaag review ik mijn twee nieuwe Dior nagellakjes: nr 660 Glory, die deel uitmaakt van de Spring 2015 limited edition collectie, en de matchende topcoat Eclosion. 

Description:

Both the nail polish and the topcoat come in the classic Dior see-through bottle with black cap and a silver cap on top. Dior and the description of the nail polish are printed in white on the bottle. The CD logo is engraved in the silver cap.

NL: Zowel de gewone nagellak als de topcoat zitten in het klassieke, doorzichtige Dior flesje met zwarte dop en daar nog eens een zilveren dop bovenop. Dior en de omschrijving van de nagellak is in het wit geprint op het flesje. Het "CD" logo is gegraveerd in de zilveren dop. 

My experience:

The main thing Dior nail polishes are known for is the super handy brush. It's super user-friendly which ensures that applying nail polish is very easy even for someone clumsy like me. The polish spreads evenly and the colour Glory totally lives up to my expectations.

I wasn't sure whether or not to buy the Eclosion topcoat. Dior nail polishes are quite expensive definitely if it's just a topcoat. But I just couldn't resist, it looks so quirky. This topcoat matches perfectly with the Glory nail polish. Eclosion can best be described as a glitter substance composed of white, lemon yellow, baby blue, blush pink and pale green glitter particles. This topcoat is better than the Diorific Golden Shock and only one layer sufficed on most nails.

NL: De hoofdreden waarom Dior nagellakjes zo gegeerd zijn, is omwille van het super handige borsteltje. Het is erg gebruiksvriendelijk waardoor het aanbrengen van de nagellak erg gemakkelijk word, zelfs voor iemand onhandig zoals mezelf. De nagellak verspreidt zich evenredig over de volledige nagel en de kleur Glory vult al mijn verwachtingen in. 

Ik heb lang getwijfeld over het aankopen van de Eclosion topcoat. Dior nagellakjes zijn best prijzig en zeker voor een topcoat. Maar ik kon helaas geen neen zeggen tegen deze leuke kleurtjes. De topcoat matcht perfect met de Glory nagellak. Eclosion kan best omschrijven worden als een glitterachtige substantie bestaande uit witte, citroengele, babyblauw, roze en lichtgroene deeltjes. Deze topcoat is beter dan de Diorific Golden Shock en één laagje volstond op de meeste nagels.

BEAUTY REVIEW: Dove Soft Feel Anti-transpirant Compressed Deodorant Spray

Description

"Nothing is as lovely as the scent of just born baby, right ladies? Dove presents you the brand new deodorant Soft Feel, the scent is heavenly and inspired by baby powder."

NL: "Niets zo heerlijk als de geur van een pasgeboren baby, toch dames? Speciaal voor jullie presenteert Dove de gloednieuwe deodorant Soft Feel, met een hemels subtiel parfum geïnspireerd op de geur van babypoeder."

Package:

The bottle is semi-long and white and a soft-pink cap. New about this package is the compressed label. The bottle is smaller but still contains the same amount of product.

NL: Het flesje is halflang en wit met een roze dop. Nieuw aan deze verpakking is het compressed label. Het flesje is dus kleiner van formaat maar bevat nog steeds dezelfde hoeveelheid product. 

My experience: 

Usually I use a solid deodorant because spraying deo's does usually make me feel sweatier instead of less. I have used the Soft Feel by Dove a couple of times now and I'm pleasantly surprised to notice that this isn't the case for this deo. Plus points already.

The scent of this deo is amazing as well. With other brands the scents are sometimes very strong and not very pleasing. The scent from Soft Feel by dove really comes close to the scent of a perfume and is quite long lasting as well. Isn't t that just great? If you're looking for a new deodorant spray, I would really advise the Dove Soft Feel deo.

NL: Normaal gezien gebruik ik een roller of vaste deo omdat ik met spuit deodoranten vaak het gevoel heb dat ik net feller ga zweten in plaats van minder. Ik heb de Soft Feel van Dove nu enkele keren geprobeerd en ik ben echt aangenaam verrast dat dit niet het geval is voor deze deo. Hij scoort meteen pluspunten. 

De geur van deze deo is ook geweldig. Bij andere merken zijn de geuren soms nogal sterk en niet aangenaam. De geur van Soft Feel sluit dicht aan bij de geur van een parfum en blijft ook nog best lang aanwezig. Is dat niet fantastisch? Als jullie dus op zoek zijn naar een nieuwe deodorant spray, dan kan ik jullie zeker de Dove Soft Feel aanraden.
