BEAUTY: Erborian Bamboo crème frappée

Een hele tijd geleden was ik aanwezig op de Ici Paris XL persdagen en de afgelopen maanden was ik dan ook druk bezig met alle producten uit te testen. Een heleboel beroemde merken waren aanwezig maar stiekem vind ik toch leuker om nieuwe merken te leren kennen. Erborian was dan ook het eerste merk waarbij ik om een woordje uitleg ging vragen.

A while ago I attended the Ici Paris XL press days and so the past months were very busy with testing all the products. A lot of famous brands were represented during the press day but secretly I enjoy discovering new brands more. The representatives of Erborian were the first ones I asked some explanation to. 

Erborian is afkomstig uit Korea en zij staan bekend om hun natuurlijke huidproducten die geschikt zijn  voor alle huidtypes. Dit merk heeft meer een medische achtergrond.  De crèmes werken opwekkend en vermoeidheid werend, ideaal dus na een lange winter.

Erborian was founded in Korea and is known for their natural beauty products which are perfect for all skin types. This brand has more of a medical background than your typical beauty brand. The cream has a stimulating effect, exactly what my skin needed after a long winter. 

De verpakking is erg straight forward. De crème zit in een wit plastieken doosje. Hierop vind je de meest essentiële informatie. Het plastieken doosje zit op zijn beurt in een groen kartonnen doosje, om in de bamboe sfeer te blijven. Op de verpakking vind je heel duidelijk elk ingrediënt terug. Zo zitten er bijvoorbeeld geen parabenen in.

The packaging is quite straight forward. The cream is in a white plastic box. On this box you can find the most relevant information about the product. The plastic box was wrapped in a green carton box, reflecting that this product is part of the bamboo range. All the ingredients of the cream are printed on the box, for example no parabens are included. 

De crème frappée zorgt voor een onmiddellijk verfrissend gevoel van de huid. Verder droogt hij ook heel snel, wat een groot pluspunt is vermits ik nogal ongeduldig ben. Na enkele keren te gebruiken, voelt mijn huid ook een stuk minder droog aan. Erborian is bij een selectie Ici ParisXL winkels verkrijgbaar of in de online webshop.

The cream instantly gives your skin a refreshing feeling. It hydrates and dries almost right away therefore it is perfect for an impatient person like myself. After using the cream a few times, my skin feels less dry. Erborian is available in a selected number of Ici Paris XL stores on in the online webshop.

1. Primark red and yellow shirts

I went to Eindhoven and my first stop was of course Primark. These two shirts are in my favourite colours made it into my wardrobe. Do you like how I combined the yellow shirt in this outfit?

2. Ici Paris XL

Ici Paris XL made quite some money thanks to me the past week. I restocked my essentials with the Advance night Repair and the Idealist from Estée Lauder. I spoiled myself as well with a red nail polish from Dior and one of their new Tie Dye blushes. Reviews will hopefully be soon on the blog.

3. H&M necklace

I just couldn't resist this statement necklace.

4. Earrings

My mom got us these look a like Dior earrings.

5. Bracelets

I needed some new bracelets preferably some more delicate pieces. I indulged on two Cartier look a like bracelets and one from My jewellery.

I'm ill in bed with the flu once again. The past year I haven ill so often and I've just had it with resting. I'm the kind of person who wants to live life to the fullest and do as much as I possibly can. Luckily I have my new goodies to cheer me up. Below you can see the items which I bought the past weeks. NL: Ik lig weer maar eens in bed met de griep. Het afgelopen jaar ben ik zo vaak ziek geweest en ik heb het gewoon gehad met rusten. Saturday I did some shopping in Antwerp. Although I saw some really pretty things and I tried out a lot of stuff, I can came home with only four things for myself. I had already spent a lot of money on gifts at Gucci and Louis Vuitton for some of my loved ones. I bought a gilet dress, hair accessory and a leopard coat at H&M and the Diorific Golden shock nail polish at Ici Paris XL. Which is your favorite item I purchased?

NL: Zaterdag ben ik gaan shoppen in Antwerpen. Ik heb heel wat moois gezien en gepast maar toch kwam ik met maar vier dingen voor mezelf thuis. Eerder op de dag had ik best al wat geld uitgegeven voor cadeautjes bij Gucci en Louis Vuitton voor mijn geliefden. Ik kocht een gilet jurk, een haar accessoire en een luipaard jas bij H&M, verder ook nog de Diorific Golden Shock nagellak bij Ici Paris XL. Wat is jullie favoriete item?

My shoplog today is all about make-up. I still had some Ici Paris XL vouchers laying at home that were about to expire. Of course a beauty addict like yours truly couldn't let that happen. The things I bought are a combination of basic items that I always use and some new items that I wanted to try. Let me know which is your favourite item! NL: De shoplog van vandaag is volledig gewijd aan make-up. Ik had nog enkele bonnen thuis liggen van Ici Paris XL die op het punt stonden van te vervallen. Een beautyverslaafde, zoals mezelf, kon dit natuurlijk niet laten gebeuren. De producten, die ik kocht, zijn een mix van basis items en enkele nieuwe dingen die ik graag eens wou uitproberen. Laat me weten wat jouw favoriete product is! Ik hoop dat ik ook snel tijd vind om enkele reviews te doen.

Estée Lauder Advanced night Repair is a product I have been using for quite some years now on a daily basis. And I honestly can't see it disappearing amongst my favorites very soon. This product keeps on winning award after award and it really is that awesome! My skin is super soft after using it.

NL: Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair is een product dat ik al enkele jaren dagelijks gebruik. En eerlijk gezegd zie ik het ook niet snel van mijn lijstje met favoriete beautyproducten verdwijnen. Dit product blijft de ene award na de andere winnen en terecht! Mijn huid is echt super zicht na het gebruikt van de Advanced Night repair. 

The second product I bought is another daily use product: YSL's Touche Eclat. Normally I use color 2 but because it's summer and my skin is getting slightly tanned I opted for the Peche Lumiere this time. Although the color looks quite dark, it blends perfectly with my skin.

NL: Het tweede product dat ik kocht, is weer een product dat ik dagelijks gebruik; de YSL Touche Eclat. Normaal gebruik ik tint 2 maar omdat het zomer is en ik toch lichtjes gebruind ben, verkies ik momenteel de Peche Lumiere. De kleur ziet er zo vrij donker uit, maar mixt perfect met mijn huid.

Recently I saw the Eastern Light nail polish from Chanel making its way onto a lot of fashion and beauty blogs. White nail polish is a good and sophisticated replacement for red during the summer. I totally love it!

NL: De laatste tijd merk ik op dat veel beauty en modeblogger de Eastern Light nagellak van Chanel gebruiken. Witte nagellak is een goede en gesofisticeerde vervanger voor rood tijdens de zomer. Ik ben helemaal verkocht!

Lately I really try out and use different shades of lipstick. I didn't have a dark red shade amongst my collection yet, shame on me. I've always been very pleased about Chanel's range of lipsticks so I was instantly sold when I tried nr 99 Pirate on from the Rouge Allure range.

NL: De laatste tijd probeer en gebruik ik steeds meer verschillende kleuren van lippenstift uit. Ik had nog geen donkere rode tint bij mijn collectie, een echte schande. Ik ben altijd erg tevreden geweest van de Chanel lippenstiften en was dan ook meteen verkocht toen ik nr 99 Pirate van het Rouge Allure gamma uitprobeerde.

As for eye shadows I'm usually a save person and use my limited edition eye palette from Dior from a view years ago but when I saw this palette I just couldn't resist the urge. This is another limited edition palette from YSL ombres 5 lumieres.  

NL: Op het gebied van oogschaduwen, ben ik meestal redelijk save en gebruik ik standaard mijn limited edition palet van Dior. Maar toen ik dit palet van YSL ombres 5 lumieres zag, kon ik onmogelijk weerstaan.

Package:

The package is simple but sophisticated. The bottle is see-through with Dior's name and the name of the nail polish mentioned on it. The bottle has a silver cap.

My own experience:

I really adored this color immediately when I spotted it and it's a great match with my Yves Saint Laurent lipstick. As you can see in the swatches above and below, one layer is not enough to reach that fuchsia shade. At most you get a dark pink look. Two layers do the work tough. The Dior nail polish is very easy to apply and doesn't smear. This is very important since I'm quite clumsy.

As a minus point I have to note that I miss the gel effect that Dior promises. Even with two layers, the nail polish is not thick enough to resemble gel effect.
