OUTFIT: A-line skirt

NL: Na heel wat uurtjes rijden, kwamen wij gisteren aan bij onze Bed & Breakfast aan de Côte D'Azur. Meteen gingen mijn ouders en ik ons opfrissen om het dorpje te gaan verkennen. Omdat het lekker warm was, koos ik voor mijn nieuwe topje en A-lijn rokje van H&M. Het A-lijn rokje zie je tegenwoordig in elk magazine verschijnen en kan dus ook niet ontbreken uit de klerenkast van eender welke fashionista. Vinden jullie deze combinatie geslaagd?

ENG: After quite some hours of driving, we arrived in our Bed & Breakfast at the Côte D'Azur. My parents and I freshened up a bit right away and went for a walk through the little village in which we are staying. Because it was very sunny outside, I opted for my new top and A-line skirt from H&M. The A-line skirt has been featured in basically every magazine lately and needs to be in each fashionista's wardrobe. Do you like this combo?

OUTFIT: Maxi skirts are here to stay

NL: Na het bekijken van de collecties voor deze lente weet ik één ding zeker: maxi rokken en jurken blijven nog minstens één seizoen langer een hit. Eén van de mooiste exemplaren die ik toe nu toe spotte, is de gouden rok van Elysée Fashion. Elysée Fashion is een jong Belgisch merk dat draagbare stuks aanbiedt maar met toch net dat tikje meer. 

In mijn naaste omgeving weet ik dat veel vrouwen het niet aandurven om een maxi rok te dragen. Dit is nochtans jammer want zoals jullie in de shoot hieronder zien, is dit item erg draagbaar voor elk figuur. Mijn vriendin Karen is aan de kleinere kant en redelijk tenger gebouwd. Deze draagt het exemplaar van Elysée fashion. Ikzelf ben vrij groot en draag een rok van Atos Lombardini. 

FR: After looking through the collections for this spring I know one thing for sure: maxi skirts and dresses are here to stay for at least another season. One of the most gorgeous pieces I spotted, was a golden skirt by Elysée Fashion. Elysée Fashion is a young Belgian brand that offers wearable pieces with an extra touch. 

In my close environment a lot of women are afraid to wear maxi skirts. I feel like this is such a shame because a maxi skirt, like you can see below, is very wearable for every body type. My friend Karen is kind of small. She's wearing a skirt from Elysée Fashion. I'm quite tall and I'm wearing a skirt of Atos Lombardini.

FASHION: Leopard spotting

Do you remember this outfit from two days ago? I did not only buy these lovely pants in black but in my favourite print leopard as well. Some people might think that leopard is tacky but if you wear it the right way, leopard can make a classy outfit. 

NL: Herinneren jullie deze outfit nog van twee dagen geleden? Ik kocht deze heerlijke broek niet alleen in het zwart maar ook in mijn favoriete print: luipaard. Sommige mensen vinden luipaard een beetje ordinair maar als je het op de juiste manier draagt, kan luipaard voor een klassevolle outfit zorgen.

FASHION: Classy times

This outfit has a few new items in it. During this day my parents and I travelled from Lake Como to Lake Garda. But first we made a stop in Verona, more about this later. In Verona there are plenty of shopping opportunities. At Zara I purchased this ensemble. For quite some time now, I had been looking for comfortable pants like these and black/white combinations are always very classy. Have a nice week! While you are reading this, I'm already on my way back home :(

NL: Deze outfit bestaat bijna helemaal uit nieuwe items. Tijdens deze dag reisden mijn ouders en ik van het Comomeer door naar het Gardameer. Maar eerst gingen we wel een bezoekje brengen aan Verona, hierover later meer. In Verona heb ik mijn shophart kunnen ophalen. In de Zara kocht ik dit ensemble. Ik was al langer op zoek naar een comfortabele broek en zwart/wit is altijd een top combinatie. Fijne week toegewenst! Op het moment dat jullie dit lezen, ben ik helaas terug onderweg naar huis :(

OUTFIT: Unexpected view

Last Sunday I had the most amazing time enjoying the great weather. My friend Sofie and I decided to cruise around in her cabrio. I life in Limburg (Belgium) which is a place with a lot of nature and consequently a lot of gorgeous spots. Eventually we ended up on this beautiful spot down the road with an amazing view. I can really enjoy these moments in life during which you are amazed by  something so small and not materialistic.

For my outfit I opted for something elegant because naturally it was weekend and afterwards we would be going for drinks. The top is actually from my mum but it really appealed to me as well.

NL: Afgelopen zondag had ik een geweldige namiddag al genietend van de het super weer. Mijn vriendin Sofie en ik besloten om rond te rijden in haar cabrio. Ik woon in Limburg (België), er is veel natuur en dus ook veel prachtige plekken. Uiteindelijk belandden we op deze mooie plaats ergens langs de weg met een fantastisch uitzicht. Ik geniet echt van de momenten in het leven waarop je verbaasd bent door zoiets kleins en totaal niet materialistisch.

Voor mijn outfit koos ik om iets elegant te dragen want het was natuurlijk weekend we gingen daarna ook een terrasje doen. De top is eigenlijk van mijn mama maar deze sprak mij ook echt aan.

OUTFIT: A day-off

Friday I enjoyed an extra day off and I pampered myself: first I went to the gym, afterwards I made my first smoothie, spent some hours in the sun, caught up with my beauty regime, my mom made BBQ and to top things off we went for an ice cream and shot some outfit pictures. Do you remember this coral dress I bought at Zara? The tight fit reminds me a bit of the dresses Kim or Khloe Kardashian would wear. These two women are so inspiring to me in accepting my body.
I think over the years I got to except that I will never be really thin and I found my balance. I went to the gym 4 times this week but on the other hand I refuse to miss out on good food or a drink.
Back to the outfit and the shoot. Lately I'm revisiting some of my favourite locations and today's location is one of them. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

NL: Afgelopen vrijdag genoot ik van een extra dagje vrij en verwende ik mezelf: eerst ging ik naar de fitness, daarna maakte ik mijn eerste smoothie, bracht enkele uurtjes door in de zon, werkte mijn beautyregime bij, mijn mama maakte BBQ klaar en als kers op de taart gingen we een ijsje eten en trokken we foto's van deze outfit. Herinneren jullie nog de koraal jurk dit ik kocht bij Zara? De strakke pasvorm laat me denken aan de jurken die Kim of Khloe Kardashian dragen. Deze twee vrouwen inspireren me om mijn lichaam te aanvaarden zoals het is.
Door de jaren heen heb ik aanvaard dat ik nooit echt mager zal zijn en nu heb ik een bepaalde balans gevonden. Ik ging deze week 4 keer naar de fitness maar aan de andere kant weiger ik om lekker eten of drankjes op te geven. 
Terug naar de outfit en deze shoot. De laatste tijd ga ik terug naar enkele van mijn favoriete locaties en deze locatie is één van hun. Ik hoop dat jullie de foto's leuk vinden!
