EVENT: Goldie The Borrel FW 16/17

NL: We beleven de warmste nazomer in de mensheid en bij deze temperaturen zijn de wintercollecties allicht het laatste waar jullie mee bezig zijn. Maar ik als blogger ben er natuurlijk wel al mee bezig.

Mijn eerste modeshow dit seizoen was deze van Goldie Herentals. Deze klassevolle modezaak verkoopt merken uit het iets duurdere middensegment. Aan ene kant kan je er voor oude bekende merken zoals Twin-Set en Patrizia Pepe. Anderzijds wist Goldie me te verbazen met hippe army jackets, bond vestjes en flashy designs van merken zoals 8PM of Alice & Trixie. Hieronder vind je een slideshow met de tofste looks. ENG: We are experiencing the hottest Indian summer in Belgium ever and the winter collections are probably the last thing on your mind. But as a blogger I off course am already looking forward to what's to come. 

My first fashion show of the season was at Goldie Herentals. This classy fashion shop sells brands from the more expensive middle segment. On one hand you can opt for some well-known brands such as Twin-Set and Patrizia Pepe. On the other hand Goldie surprised me with trendy army jackets, fur coats and flashy designs from 8PM or Alice&Trixie. Check the slide show with the best looks below. OUTFIT: Always try to be different

NL: Tijdens deze outfit post wil ik graag een persoonlijk verhaal met jullie delen. Als kind heb ik mij vaak het buitenbeentje en uitgesloten gevoeld. Doordat ik zwaarder gebouwd was als andere kinderen, werd ik al snel gepest. Ik probeerde mij dan ook zo "onzichtbaar" mogelijk te maken. Tijdens mijn tienerjaren durfde ik tot mijn zeventiende geen rokken aan naar school bijvoorbeeld. Winter of zomer, ik droeg altijd jeans broeken. Best jammer toch eigenlijk dat mensen zichzelf zo verstoppen toch!? 

Afgelopen week ging ik naar de opening van de nieuwe H&M winkel in Antwerpen in deze flashy maxi rok. Ik kan je wel verzekeren dat ik behoorlijk wat bekijks had en dat deert me totaal niet meer. Ik was op dat moment best trots over het feit dat ik me over die pesters gezet heb en dat ik nu dagelijks mijn gezicht durf te tonen op deze blog. Daarbij wil ik nu toch ook eventjes jullie, mijn lezers, bedanken. Elke dag bezoeken jullie talrijk mijn blog en laten jullie de liefste commentaren achter dus bedankt hiervoor!

ENG: Along with these pictures I would like to share a personal story with you. As a child I often felt like an outsider. Because I had a bigger figure than other children, I got bullied. I tried to make myself as "invisible" as possible. During my teenage years I was afraid to wear skirts for example. Winter or summer, I would always wear pants. When you think of it, it's quite sad that people want to hide themselves right!?

Last week I attended the opening of the new H&M store in Antwerp wearing this flashy maxi skirt. I can assure you that a lot of people were casting me some curious looks which didn't bother me at all. In that moment I realised I was quite proud of myself that I left those bullies behind me and that I'm not afraid to show my face here on a daily basis. I feel like this is the right moment to thank you, my readers, as well. Each day you numerously visit my blog and leave the sweetest comments so thank you for supporting me!

EVENT: Goldie The Borrel SS16 fashion show

NL: Als je naar buiten kijkt, zou je het misschien niet meteen denken maar de lente komt er aan. Rond deze periode van het jaar wordt mijn mailbox dan ook overstelpt met uitnodigingen voor mode shows. Wat ik natuurlijk niet erg vind!

Een tweejaarlijks evenement dat altijd op de agenda staat is de modeshow van de winkel Goldie uit Herentals. Tijdens zo een modeshow krijg je een greep te zijn uit het rijke aanbod van de winkel. Goldie en ik delen een gemeenschappelijke voorliefde voor merken zoals Ted Baker, Patrizia Pepe en Elisabetta Franchi. Hieronder vind je een dan ook een niet zo kleine grijp uit mijn favoriete looks. Voor deze zomer doen de beige tinten het weer erg goed, net zoals de maxi-jurken en rokken. Mijn favoriete look is de tweede outfit uit de derde rij: een koningsblauwe body met luipaard maxi rok. ENG: If you look outside, it might seem otherwise but spring is around the corner. During this time of the year my mailbox is crushed by the invites for fashion shows. Which I don't mind of course!

A bi-annual event which is always marked on my calendar is the fashion show of Goldie, a store in Herentals. During a fashion show like this, you get to see a grasp of the huge collection of a store. Goldie and I share the same love for brands such as Ted Baker, Patrizia Pepe and Elisabetta Franchi. Below you can see a rather not so small selection of my favourite looks. This summer nude shades are still all the rage, as are the maxi dresses and skirts. My favourite look is the second one on the third row: a royal blue body and a leopard maxi skirt. EVENT: The Borrel by Goldie Herentals

NL:  Als blogger vind ik het belangrijk dat mijn outfits een mix en match zijn van goedkopere en duurdere stuks. Mijn duurdere en kwalitatievere stuks komen vaak van bij de Goldie winkels in Herentals en Hasselt, zie bijvoorbeeld het Ted Baker kleedje uit de outfit post van gisteren. Daarnaast verkoopt Goldie ook veel Italiaanse merken zoals Atos Lombardini, Patrizia Pepe en Elisabetta Franchi. Je raadt het al: bij elk bezoekje vind ik veel te veel mooie dingen.

Aan het begin van elk modeseizoen organiseert Goldie Herentals een modeshow waarop ze hun nieuwe collectie voorstellen. Ook deze keer was ik weer erg onder de indruk. Hieronder vind je enkele van mijn favoriete looks.

ENG: Being a blogger it's important to mix cheaper and more expensive items in one outfit. When I buy something more expensive and more qualitative clothing piece, they are often bought at the Goldie stores in Herentals and Hasselt, like the Ted Baker dress I'm wearing in yesterday's blog post. Goldie sells some of my favourite brands as well, such as Atos Lombardini, Patrizia Pepe and Elisabetta Franchi. You already guessed it: during every visit I discover some gorgeous items.

At the beginning of each fashion season Goldie Herentals organises a fashion show in which the new collection is shown. Again I was super impressed about what they've got to offer. Below you see some of my favourite looks.

I had a very busy social calendar at the end of last week with a lot of fashion events going on. Each season I attend "The Borrel" by Goldie Herentals. This is one of my favourite local shops and The Borrel is the perfect moment to discover their new collection. Goldie offers a wide range of amazing brands such as Elisabetta Franchi. Patrizia Pepe and Ted Baker. I want to thank Goldie for the lovely evening. Below you can see some of my favourite looks from the fashion show.

NL: Ik had een erg drukke sociale kalender afgelopen week met veel mode evenementen. Elk seizoen woon ik "The Borrel" van Goldie Herentals bij. Dit is één van mijn favoriete lokale winkels en The Borrel is het perfect moment om hun nieuwe collectie te ontdekken. Goldie biedt een breed gamma van merken aan zoals Elisabette Franchi, Patrizia Pepe en Ted Baker. Ik wil graag Goldie bedanken voor de fijne avond. I'm sorry for the radio silence the past week but I was on a business trip to Cologne and after that I enjoyed a short city trip to Barcelona. So much to do so little time. Luckily I have now a lot of outfit shoots, events,... to share with you.

As a huge fan of Italian and English brands, I'm always looking for those hidden gems of stores. I already introduced Goldie to you, a shop based in Hasselt and Herentals, with brands such as Patrizia Pepe, Ted Baker,.. I was invited to their Borrel, an event that is being organised each season to show the new collections. Below you can find some of my favourite looks, which is yours favorite?

NL: Sorry dat ik de afgelopen week afwezig ben geweest, dit kwam door een zakenreis die gemaakt heb naar Keulen en daarna heb ik kunnen genieten van een korte city trip naar Barcelona. Zoveel te doen, zo weinig tijd. Gelukkig heb ik nu wel veel outfit shoots, events,... om te delen met jullie.

Goldie's "The Borrel" Fashion show

While I can only follow the fashions shows from Milan online, I attended a real fashion show last Thursday. One of my favourite stores Goldie presented their spring collection during "The Borrel". This is a seasonal event they organise in their store in Herentals to show the newest collection. Goldie sells some of my favourite brands such as Atos Lombardini, Elisabetta Franchi, Josh V, Patrizia Pepe, Pinko, Twinset and Ted Baker. I totally fell in love with this white and pastel pink dress from Pinko. Among one of the models was Zoë Van Gastel, a Belgian tv personality. Thanks to all the models who took the time to pose in front of my camera and thanks to Goldie for the lovely drinks and bites.
