With Rock Werchter the Belgian festival season has officially started. Regular festival visitors know of course that each season you have to prepare your wardrobe and more importantly: the shoe game. Multiple day festivals really take a toll on your feet plus over the course of a few days the weather can change from rainy to sunny.

My shoe essentials for festivals are: sneakers, boots and  espadrilles. Since I'm lacking time to go shopping at the moment, I started surfing the internet and I ended up on the webshop EscapeShoes.
This shop has a wide range of shoes, bags and clothes and they ship internationally. Below are some of my favourite shoes for this festival season:

Espadrilles - UGG

Espadrilles have replaced ballerinas as the ultimate summer shoe. All the cool kids are wearing them.

Sneakers - Converse

Converse is probably the best sold shoe brand in the world and I'm a fan as well. Sneakers are so comfortable yet fashionable as well. Plus: my mom washes my Converse sneakers in the laundry machine and they are like new again afterwards.

Sneakers - Nike

Nike sneakers are very fashionable as well and available in the most amazing colour palettes. You will definitely draw attention on yourself with a fabulous pair of Nike sneakers.

Boots - Hunter

Belgian summer can still bring along a lot of rain so a pair of rain boots are definitely a necessity during festival season. Kate Moss has been a fan of Hunter for years. The boots are available in different colours and sizes. 

OUTFIT: Through rose-coloured glasses

The sun was blazing last weekend but unlike other people I didn't spend my time in a pool. No, my mom and I did some shopping in Antwerp. A lot of people nowadays wear sneakers underneath a skirt or dress but so far I hadn't dared to wear this trend yet. But on this warm day I just couldn't hide my legs in pants. I was surprised to notice that even in Antwerp, the fashion capital from Belgium, people were staring at me. But I have never felt more comfortable before and that's what counts, right!?

NL: De zon stond hoog aan de hemel het afgelopen weekend maar in tegenstelling tot vele anderen was ik niet te vinden in een zwembad. Nee, mijn mama en ik gingen shoppen in Antwerpen. Tegenwoordig dragen veel mensen sneakers onder een rok of kleed maar tot dusver durfde ik deze trend niet aan. Maar op deze warme dag, kon ik mijn benen gewoon niet wegsteken onder een broek. Ik was verbaasd dat zelfs in Antwerpen, de modehoofdstad van België, veel mensen naar mij staarden. Maar ik heb mij nooit comfortabeler gevoeld en dat is wat telt, toch!?

OUTFIT: Investment pieces

Ever since I bought my new leather jacket at Mango, I have been practically living in it. I can't believe it took me so long to replace my old one. The past year or so I have really been trying to put my money into valuable clothing pieces I can mix with basically any outfit. In the light of this decision, I also bought some Nike sneakers last summer. I see a lot of people who buy their investment pieces in common colours such as black, white or grey. Although I understand this, I also feel like life and outfits would be boring without a touch of colour. So I chose the pink Nike sneakers instead of the black/white version which almost everyone seems to own. Have a colourful day lovies and please comment below!

NL: Sinds ik mijn nieuwe leren jasje kocht bij Mango, leef ik er praktisch in. Ik kan haast niet geloven dat ik zolang gewacht om mijn oude te vervangen. Het afgelopen jaar heb ik echt geprobeerd om geld vooral te besteden aan waardevolle kledingstukken, die ik dan kan mixen zo goed als elke outfit. Als gevolg van deze beslissing, schafte ik mij vorig zomer ook Nike sneakers aan. Ik zie dat veel mensen hun investering kledingstukken vaak in kleuren zoals zwart, wit of grijs kopen. Ookal begrijp ik dat ergens wel, toch vind ik ook dat het leven en outfits erg saai zouden zijn zonder wat kleur. Dus ging ik voor de roze sneakers in plaats van de wit/zwarte versie, die bijna iedereen heeft. Geniet van een kleurrijke dag lovies en vergeet zeker niet om een reactie achter te laten!

OUTFIT: Nike sneakers

Sneakers are all the rage lately and Nike is  definitely a very popular brand among the fashion crowd. Although I wasn't really a fan of Nike sneakers as a fashion statement in the beginning, it eventually grew on me as well. So when I spotted some gorgeous pink/yellow sneakers on sale during my holiday in Tuscany, I knew the time had come to go totally overboard. Do you like my sneakers? Are you hooked on this trend as well?

NL: Sneakers zijn erg populair de laatste tijd en Nike is een erg geliefd merk bij het modepubliek. Ook al was ik aanvankelijk niet echt fan van Nike sneakers als modestatement, de trend begon mij ook langzaam maar zeker in te palmen. Dus toen ik een geweldig paar roze/gele sneakers aan een soldenprijsje spotte tijdens mijn vakantie in Toscane, wist ik dat het tijd was om toe te geven. Wat vind je van mijn sneakers? My flip flops got damaged during my holiday so I instantly needed new ones, Havaianas seems like a very popular brand in Italy.

NL: Mijn flip flops geraakte beschadigd tijdens mijn vakantie dus ik had er onmiddellijk nieuwe nodig. Havaianas is precies een erg populair merk in Italië.

There are absolutely no limits to my Louis Vuitton addiction. The newest addition to my collection is the Pochette Eva.

NL: Er zijn echt geen grenzen aan mijn Louis Vuitton verslaving. De nieuwste toevoeging aan mijn collectie is de Pochette Eva.

When I entered the Patrizia Pepe store I immediately fell in love with this skirt. I have been looking for a model like this for so long and the pattern and colors are amazing.

NL: Toen ik de Patrizia Pepe winkel binnen kwam, werd ik onmiddellijk verliefd op dit rokje. Ik was al zolang aan het zoeken naar een gelijkaardig model, het patroon en de kleuren zijn ook geweldig.

The two bags above are some treasures my mom and I found on the weekly market in Forte Di Marmi. They came € 20,00 / piece and resemble the Gucci bamboo bag a lot.

NL: De bovenstaande tassen zijn pareltjes die mijn mama en ik vonden op  de wekelijkse markt in Forte di Marmi. Ze kosten € 20,00 / stuk tonen veel gelijkenissen met de Gucci bamboo tas.

I'm a huge fan of both big statement jewelry but on the other hand I also love classic and timeless pieces. This Michael Kors Buckle Bangle is exactly that.
