BEAUTY: Rouge Dior lipstick 844 Trafalgar

PACKAGING

Zoals alle Rouge Dior lippenstiften zit ook deze verpakt in de nachtblauwe huls. Deze verpakking glanst mooi en is gegraveerd met het "CD" logo. Op de verpakkingen vind je ook het duidelijk het kleurennummer en de kleurnaam terug. 

Like all Rouge Dior lip sticks, Trafalgar is wrapped in a night blue tube as well. This packaging has a pretty sheen and is engraved with the "CD" logo. The colour number and name is clearly mentioned on the packaging. 

MY OPINION

Als het over Dior producten gaat, is deze sectie haast overbodig geworden. Ik ben nu eenmaal altijd enthousiast over Dior producten. Deze lippenstift is daarop geen uitzondering. De lippenstift is zelfs zonder penseeltje makkelijk aan te brengen. Hij smeert makkelijk uit zonder dat hij buiten te lijntjes loopt. De finish is satijnachtig. Gedurende de hele dag blijft Trafalgar steeds zichtbaar op mijn lippen al vervaagde de kleur natuurlijk wel. Door de crème achtige structuur voelt de lippenstift comfortabel aan. 

De pigmentatie zit ook wel snor. Met één laag heb je een mooie koraalrode kleur, met twee laagjes wordt deze een stuk intenser. Alle Rouge Dior lippenstiften zijn bij Planet Parfum of  online verkrijgbaar en kosten € 34,90/stuk. 

If I'm talking about Dior products, this section is kind of pointless. I'm in love with every Dior product ever made. This lip stick is no exception. The product applies easily, even without a pencil. The finish is satin. Trafalgar doesn't bleed during the day although the bright colour fades of course a little. The lip stick feels very comfortable because of the creamy texture.

The pigmentation is fantastic as well! If you apply one layer you get a gorgeous orange red shade, with two layers the shade gets more intense. All Rouge Dior lip sticks are available at Planet Parfum or online, they come at €34,90/piece.

De lippenstift zit in de typische, donkerblauwe tube en de Dior logo's zijn in het zilver aanbracht erop. De verpakking is standaard maar chique. Onderaan de tube staat ook de lippenstift nummer en naam genoteerd.

Rouge Dior is the classic lipstick collection from Dior and this is reflected by the packaging. The lipstick comes in the typical, dark blue tube and the Dior logos are applied in silver on the tube. The packaging is classic but chic. Underneath the tube you'll find the lipstick number and name. 

My experience:

Ik was al lang op zoek naar de perfecte, roze lippenstift. Mijn vorige was ook al van Dior maar deze barbie-achtige kleur was ik een beetje ontgroeid. In het geval van de kleur roze is het echt moeilijk om net die juiste tint te vinden die bij jou past. De kleur 565 Vogue is wat mij betreft de perfecte middelmaat tussen barbie roze en paars. Hij zit er pal tussenin.

De lippenstift laat zich makkelijk aanbrengen, zelfs zonder penseel. Hij loopt niet uit en de houdbaarheid is uitstekend.

I had been looking for the perfect, pink lipstick for a while now. My previous one was from Dior as well but I outgrew the Barbie like shade a bit. It's really hard to find the right shade of pink for every skin type. The colour 565 Vogue is the perfect shade to me and is right somewhere in between barbie pink and purple. 

The lipstick is easy to apply, even without a pencil. It doesn't smudge and lasts all day long.

BEAUTY REVIEW: Guerlain Kiss Kiss nr 322 Red on fire lipstick

The lipstick is wrapped in the most gorgeous tube ever. The tube and cap are square with on top the logo of Guerlain in gold engraved. The tube is black and shiny. The design is very luxurious.

NL: De lippenstift zit verpakt in de mooiste tube ooit. De tube en dop zijn vierkantig met vanboven op  in het goud het Guerlain logo gegraveerd. De tube is zwart en blinkt. Het design is erg luxueus .

My Opinion:

The Kiss Kiss lipsticks are available in 25 shades, I opted for nr 322 Red on Fire because I already own an orange/red like lipstick and a dark red. This shade is somewhere in between plus it has tiny sparkles included in the fabric. This lipstick is perfect for the holiday season.

The pigmentation of the Kiss Kiss lipsticks is awesome and unless like a lot of other lipsticks this one doesn't disappoint when you apply it. The glitters fade quite quickly but the basic colour remains OK for hours.

I love a shimmery lipstick like this one. I'm not a huge fan of lipglosses and I adore mat lipsticks, the red on fire meets these demands somewhere in between. The only downside is the fact that this lipstick is quite pricy. You can purchase it on the Ici Paris XL website for € 33,55.

NL: De Kiss Kiss lippenstiften zijn beschikbaar in 25 tinten, ik koos voor nr 322 Red on Fire omdat ik al een oranje/roodachtige en een donker rode lippenstift bezit. Deze tint zit erg tussen beide in en heeft kleine glittertjes in de materie zitten. Deze lippenstift is perfect voor het feestseizoen.

De pigmentatie van de Kiss Kiss lippenstift is geweldig en in tegenstelling tot veel andere lippenstiften stelt deze absoluut niet teleur wanneer je hem aanbrengt. De glitters verdwijnen wel snel maar de basiskleur blijft OK voor uren. 

Ik vind een glitter lippenstift zoals deze echt geweldig. Ik ben geen grote fan van lipglossen en ben meer voor de matte lippenstiften, de Red on Fire brengt al deze eisen samen. Het enige nadeel is het feit dat deze lippenstift best prijzig is. Je kunt hem kopen op de Ici Paris XL website voor € 33,55. 

BEAUTY REVIEW: Chanel Rouge Allure 99 Pirate lipstick

What does this product promises to do?

Package

The package is gorgeous, how can it not be, being Chanel? The lipstick is in a black cover but without a real cap. There's a golden button with the double C engraved. If you push this button, the lipstick comes out of the tube. On the black cover, Chanel is written in white.

NL: De verpakking is prachtig. Hoe kan dat ook anders met Chanel? De lippenstift zit in een zwarte huls maar zonder de klassieke dop die we kennen. Er is wel een gouden knop met de dubbele C ingegraveerd. Als je op deze knop duwt, komt de lippenstift uit de huls. Op de zwarte huls, is in het wit Chanel geschreven.

My experience

I created this look in four steps:

1. A lip primer from Kiko
2. After that I used a lip pencil from Kiko (nr 307) which comes close to the shade of the Chanel lipstick. I completely covered my lips with it. See picture 1.
3. I added one layer of Chanel Rouge Allure. See picture 2.
4. I added a second layer of Chanel Rouge Allure. See picture 3.

NL: Ik creëerde deze look in vier stappen:

1. Een lip primer van Kiko 
2. Daarna gebruikte ik een lippenpotlood van Kiko (nr 307), deze kleur komt dichtbij de tint van de Chanel lippenstift. Ik kleurde mijn lippen volledig er mee in. Zie foto 1.
3. Daarna bracht ik één laag van Chanel Rouge Allure aan. Zie foto 2.
4. Vervolgens bracht ik nog een tweede laag van Chanel Rouge Allure aan. Zie foto 3.

The creamy formula applies easily on the lips although you better keep a cotton stick nearby, just in case. The color is really intense which I can really appreciate. Often the shades on your lips tend to turn out differently but this is definitely not the case for the Rouge Allure range. The color is very dim, which I love for red lipsticks.

NL: De romige formule zorgt ervoor dat de lippenstift makkelijk aan te brengen is, al kan ik wel aanraden om een wattenstaafje in de buurt te houden. De kleur is erg intens, ik hou hier wel van. Vaak vallen de tinten anders uit eens je ze aanbrengt op je lippen maar dit is zeker niet het geval bij Rouge Allure. De lippenstift is ook er mat en dit past perfect wij een donker rode kleur.

There's a blue undertone in this lipstick, which makes your teeth look whiter. Who doesn't love that? The only disadvantage with intense red lipsticks like these is that they take a lot of maintenance. Once the color starts to fade away, your look  kind of ridiculous.

NL: Er zit ook een blauwe ondertoon in deze lippenstift, dit zorgt ervoor dat je tanden er witter uitzien. Extra voordeel denk ik zo. Het enige nadeel aan een intens rode lippenstift zoals deze is, dat je deze constant moet bijwerken. Als je even iets drinkt of eet, begint de kleur te vervagen en laten we eerlijk zijn, dan ziet het resultaat er echt niet meer uit.

The package is very chic and in my favorite color gold. The lipstick is quadratic. At the point where the lipstick closes, the logo from Yves Saint Laurent comes together on the bullet.

My own experience:

The formula is amazingly smooth and creamy. The lipstick is quite long lasting although I have to point out that the brightness from the color fates after about two hours. After having searched for the perfect fuchsia lipstick for so long, I was excited to find the perfect color in the product range from Yves Saint Laurent. Often lipsticks don't exactly match the color on the bullet but this one was completely satisfying. I'm super pleased about the color. 

The finish is satiny mat and as bonus point, the Rouge Pur Couture has 15 SPF. 

You can buy this lipstick in a lot of different shades on the Ici Paris XL website. The price tag is € 30,15 which is quite expensive but reasonable for its great quality.

Beauty Trends spring 2014

Yesterday I showed you my favourite fashion trends for spring. But an outfit is nothing without some decent make-up to lift that outfit up. I really want to try to spice up my make up this season. I usually tend to stick to the same kind of products/colours in contradiction to my clothing style. I don't really know why, I guess it's all about changing my ritual. These are some of the trends I really want to try out this season. Let me know which trend is your favourite!

If you have been following my blog for a while, you know that gold is my favourite colour. This trend is already in my usual make up ritual.
