BEAUTY: Dior nail polish - nr 650 Pivoine - limited edition spring 2016

 

Description

De Dior lente 2016 collectie is er weer eentje om duimen en vingers mee af te likken. Liefst zou ik natuurlijk meteen elk product aanschaffen maar het nagellak kleurtje Pivoine mag de spits afbijten. Lees hieronder mijn mening over deze glinsterende en felle koraal kleur.

The Dior spring 2016 collection is once again on fire. I'd like to buy each product right away but the nail polish Pivoine made it first into my shopping basket. Read below my opinion about the shimmering and bright coral colour. 

Packaging:

Weer een nieuw Dior product bij in de kast. En waarom zou Dior een wel een winnende formule veranderen. Het klassieke vierkante en doorzichtige flesje blijft behouden, alsook de zilveren dop. Het flesje zit in een donkerblauwe kartonnen doosje. Op het flesje en doosje staan de naam en nummer duidelijk zichtbaar geprint.

Another new Dior product in my closet. And I can't blame Dior for not changing a winning formula. The classic square bottle is maintained, as is the silver cap. The bottle is wrapped in a dark blue carton box. The name and number is visibly printed onto both the bottle and box.

My experience

Ik heb al zoveel Dior nagellak gereviewed voor de blog en mijn conclusie blijft steeds hetzelfde; deze nagellak is het beste merk op de markt. De nagellak laat zich makkelijk en evenredig verspreiden over de nagel dankzij de perfecte formule.

Omdat de formule van de meeste Dior nagellak zo dik is, is één laagje meestal genoeg. Zoals iedereen weet, is dekking bij een glinsterende formule net ietsjes moeilijker. Maar na twee dunne laagjes heb je ook hier het perfecte resultaat.

Het aanbrengen voorloopt super makkelijk dankzij het brede borsteltje en de snel drogende formule. Haast je dus naar jouw lokale parfumerie want deze collectie zal zonder twijfel weer verkopen als zoete broodjes!

I have already reviewed so many Dior nail polishes on this blog and my conclusion remains the same: this nail polish is the best brand on the market. The nail polish spreads easily and proportionally thanks to the perfect formula.

Because the formula of most Dior nail polishes is quite thick, one layer is sufficient for great coverage. But like you probably know, coverage is quite complicated with shimmering nail polishes. But after two layers the coverage was perfect as well.

Applying the nail polish is super easy thanks to the wide brush and the fast-drying formula. So hurry to your local perfumery to get your hands on this collection.

OUTFIT: Punk Chic

NL: Zoals jullie gisteren al konden lezen ,was ik afgelopen week te gast op de modeshow van designer boetiek Obsis. Op zo een event kan je natuurlijk niet met een alledaagse outfit aankomen. Een leren broek vind ik altijd bijzonder chique lijken, zeker in combinatie met mooie zwarte pumps zoals mijn Louboutins en deze blazer.

ENG: Like you could read in yesterday's blogpost, I was invited as a guest to the fashion show of designer store Obsis. You can't show up in just any outfit at an event like this. Leather pants are always a very chic option, definitely if you combine them with gorgeous black pumps like my Louboutins and this blazer.

EVENT: Obsis SS16 Punk Chic fashion show

NL: Een nieuwe dag, weer een modeshow. Fashion Point, het mode walhalla van Zuid-Limburg, heeft drie prachtige winkels met elk een ander doelpubliek. Obsis is zonder twijfel het kroonjuweeltje en hier vind je de prachtigste designer collecties. Het aanbod gaat van het middenklasse segment (Liu Jo, Patrizia Pepe, Guess by Marciano) tot de crème de la crème (Balmain, Robert Cavalli, Philipp Plein).

De nieuwe collectie was dan ook weer om duimen en vingers bij af te likken. Op een prachtig verlichte catwalk toonde onder andere Lima Ché en Veronique De Cock de nieuwste musthaves voor deze zomer. Overigens werden we verwend door de heerlijke catering van Jeurissen. Van een top avond gesproken! Mijn favoriete look is trouwens de strakke jurk van Balmain (3e rij; 2e foto). Welke look is jouw favoriet?

ENG: A new day, another fashion show. Fashion Point, the place to be in South-Limburg, has three gorgeous stores with each another target audience. Obsis is without a doubt the crown jewel and this store is specialised in designer collections. You can opt for a piece of the middle class segment (Liu Jo, Patrizia Pepe, Guess by Marciano) or you can opt for the crème de la crème (Balmain, Robert Cavalli, Philipp Plein). 

The new collection was so hot. On a gorgeous illuminated catwalk Lima Ché and Veronique De Cock showed the newest musthaves for this summer. We were also spoiled by the perfect catering of Jeurissen. Truly one hell of night!. My favourite look is the bodycon dress from Balmain (3rd row, 2nd picture). Which look is your favourite?

EVENT: Goldie The Borrel SS16 fashion show

NL: Als je naar buiten kijkt, zou je het misschien niet meteen denken maar de lente komt er aan. Rond deze periode van het jaar wordt mijn mailbox dan ook overstelpt met uitnodigingen voor mode shows. Wat ik natuurlijk niet erg vind!

Een tweejaarlijks evenement dat altijd op de agenda staat is de modeshow van de winkel Goldie uit Herentals. Tijdens zo een modeshow krijg je een greep te zijn uit het rijke aanbod van de winkel. Goldie en ik delen een gemeenschappelijke voorliefde voor merken zoals Ted Baker, Patrizia Pepe en Elisabetta Franchi. Hieronder vind je een dan ook een niet zo kleine grijp uit mijn favoriete looks. Voor deze zomer doen de beige tinten het weer erg goed, net zoals de maxi-jurken en rokken. Mijn favoriete look is de tweede outfit uit de derde rij: een koningsblauwe body met luipaard maxi rok. Welke outfit is jouw favoriet? 

ENG: If you look outside, it might seem otherwise but spring is around the corner. During this time of the year my mailbox is crushed by the invites for fashion shows. Which I don't mind of course!

A bi-annual event which is always marked on my calendar is the fashion show of Goldie, a store in Herentals. During a fashion show like this, you get to see a grasp of the huge collection of a store. Goldie and I share the same love for brands such as Ted Baker, Patrizia Pepe and Elisabetta Franchi. Below you can see a rather not so small selection of my favourite looks. This summer nude shades are still all the rage, as are the maxi dresses and skirts. My favourite look is the second one on the third row: a royal blue body and a leopard maxi skirt. FASHION: Bangle-up Paris-Bombay SS16

NL: Parijs meet Bombay in de nieuwe collectie van Bangle-Up voor deze zomer. Het Franse accessoire merk combineert zowel Parijse als Indische invloeden. De collectie bestaat uit kleurrijke armbanden in diverse vormen. Deze armbanden kan je apart dragen of er een leuke mix en match van maken. Deze mix zie je ook terug in de kleuren die variëren van subtiel tot heel vrolijk. De binnenkant van de armbanden bestaat uit licht goud. Doordat deze handgemaakt worden, is elk stuk uniek. 

ENG: Paris meets Bombay in the new collection of Bangle-Up for this summer. The French accessory brand combines Parisian and Indian influences. This collection contains colourful bracelets in several shapes. You can wear them separately or mix and match. This mix is also visible in the colours which range between very happy to subtle. The inside of the bracelets has been submerged in light gold. Because these bracelets are handmade, each and every one of them is unique.

OUTFIT: The perfect striped shirt

NL: Elke lente komen ze weer te voorschijn op kleding: ik heb het natuurlijk over streepjes. Ongeacht de kleur en de dikte. Een simpel zwart/wit gestreept shirtje kan dus in geen enkele klerenkast ontbreken. Ik tikte mijn perfect shirt op de kop bij de nieuwe collectie van Guess. Aan de zijkant heb je nog een leuk vlakkenpatroon dat ik helaas ben vergeten te tonen op de foto's.

Verontschuldig mij ook de kleine oogjes; twee nachten op rij op stap gaan, krijg ik niet meer zo goed verteerd als vroeger. Ik had moeten luisteren naar al die mensen die mij waarschuwde dat je eens voorbij de 25 jaar korte nachtjes enkele dagen blijft voelen. 

ENG: Each spring they tend to appear again on clothes: I'm talking about stripes of course. No matter the colour or width. A simple black and white striped shirt should be in every wardrobe. I found my perfect shirt in the new collection of Guess. There's also a gorgeous square pattern on the flank which gives an extra touch to the shirt. Unfortunately I forgot to show this in the pictures.

Excuse my small eyes as well: I don't cope with going out for two nights in a row as well as I used to. I wish I had listened to everybody who warned me that once past 25 years old those short nights take days to recover.

NL: Deze maand ben ik niet zo een goede outfit blogger geweest. Ik heb het deze maand dan ook verschrikkelijk druk gehad met mijn werk, evenementen voor de blog en carnaval vieren. Ik hoop volgende maand weer meer outfits te kunnen delen want persoonlijk is dit mijn favoriete onderdeel van de blog. Beginnend vanaf de volgende blogpost. Hopelijk vergeven jullie mee!? :-)
