OUTFIT: Striped Crop Top

NL: Crop tops zijn één van die kledingstukken die de laatste seizoenen in de mode zijn gekomen. Persoonlijk heb ik een haat- liefdesverhouding ermee. Ik vind crop tops heel mooi en sexy maar moet toch een beetje opletten hoe ik het combineer met mijn figuur. Meestal ga ik voor een hoge rok zodat mijn buik toch bedekt blijft. Hebben jullie ook zo van die kledingstukken die wat moeilijker zijn voor jullie figuur?

ENG: Crop tops are one of those clothing pieces which have really been in style the past few seasons. Personally I have a love- hate relationship with them. I think crop tops are definitely very pretty and sexy but I have to look how I combine them keeping  my figure in mind. Usually I opt for a skirt covering my waistline zo my tummy is covered up. Do you have a clothing piece which is hard to wear with your figure?

OUTFIT: Stripes

NL: Ik heb zoveel positieve reacties gekregen op mijn outfit voor het Tommy Hilfiger event dat ik besloten heb om er een aparte outfit shoot mee te doen. Aflopen zaterdag ging ik shoppen in Antwerpen, helaas was het weer behoorlijk druilerig. Gelukkig is er de prachtige Stadsfeestzaal, die de perfecte locatie vormde voor deze shoot. 

ENG: I got so many positive reactions on my outfit for the Tommy Hilfiger event, so I decided to do a real outfit shoot with it. Last Saturday I went to Antwerp for some shopping, too bad the weather was quite drowsy. Fortunately the gorgeous Stadsfeestzaal was the perfect location for this shoot.

OUTFIT: Dress up

NL: Eindelijk een nieuwe blogpost na een weekje stilte! Ik heb jullie natuurlijk niet zomaar in de steek  gelaten. Vorige week vertoefde ik in het prachtige Sicilië maar laat meer hierover. Net voor deze vakantie was mijn beste vriendin jarig en dat vroeg natuurlijk voor een speciaal feestkleedje. Het resultaat zien jullie in deze shoot.

ENG: Finally a new blogpost after a week of silence! I didn't just leave you guys like that. Last week I was in gorgeous Sicily but more about this holiday later. Just before I left, my best friend celebrated her birthday. A special occasion needs a special party dress. You see the result in the shoot below.

OUTFIT: Sunset

The past weekend has been so hectic. Friday and Saturday evening I caught up with some of my friends. On Sunday I experienced one of the most exciting days of my life: I was in Paris to see the finish of the Tour de France live. I have such an admiration for these athletes. After all cycling is one of the hardest sports in the world. Would you be interested to see some pictures from my day in Paris?

This outfit was not shot in Paris, unfortunately it was not that sunny. This is the outfit I wore on my last night at Lake Garda. The dress I'm wearing is from Liu Jo and is already about 6 years old. This proves that some pricier brands are definitely worth their money. Of course my new Prada sunnies couldn't be left out in these pictures. 

NL: Afgelopen weekend was erg hectisch. Vrijdag- en zaterdagavond sprak ik af met enkele vrienden die ik niet meer gezien had na mijn vakantie. Afgelopen zondag was dan weer één van de meest geweldige dagen uit mijn leven. Ik was in Parijs om de aankomst van de Tour de France live mee te maken. Ik heb zoveel bewondering voor deze atleten. Wielrennen is dan ook één van de zwaarste sporten in de wereld. Zouden jullie graag een verslagje lezen over mijn dag in Parijs?

Deze outfit heb ik niet geshoot in Parijs, zo zonnig was het er helaas niet. Deze outfit droeg ik tijdens mijn laatste avond aan het Gardameer. De jurk, die ik aan had, is van Liu Jo en is al een zestal jaar oud. Dit bewijst dat de ietsjes duurdere merken ook vaak hun geld waard zijn. Natuurlijk kon mijn nieuwe Prada zonnebril ook niet in het plaatje ontbreken.

OUTFIT: Yellow maxi dress

I swear this will probably be the last post I mention the Firenze4Ever party by Luisa via Roma. The dress code for this party was: "Over the rainbow" and since love maxi dresses, this event was the perfect opportunity to give it my all. I ordered this lovely dress on Asos. I love the way the wind can play with the fabric. This look is exactly how I wore it in Italy except the clutch. Back then I used the Gucci clutch from my friend Anouk, in this shoot I used my own Michael Kors clutch.

I went back to one of my favourite locations in my own town to do this shoot on a lovely sunny day. Do you know that amazing feeling when you're selecting pictures on your laptop after a shoot and have so many great pictures that you barely can't choose!? This rarely happens unfortunately but it was the case for this shoot. Maybe thanks to my new 50 mm objective!?

NL: Ik zweer dat dit normaal de laatste post is waarin ik heb over het Firenze4Ever feestje van Luisa via Roma. De dress code voor het feestje was: "Over the Rainbow" en vermits ik hou van lange jurken, was dit evenement de perfecte gelegenheid om alles te geven. Ik bestelde deze prachtige jurk op Asos. De wind kan echt met de stof spelen, wat een mooi effect geeft. Deze look is exact hoe ik hem droeg in Italië behalve de clutch. Toen mocht ik de Gucci clutch van mijn vriendin Anouk lenen, voor deze shoot gebruikte ik mijn eigen Michael Kors clutch.

Voor deze shoot ging ik terug naar één van mijn favoriete locaties in mijn eigen dorp op een zonnige dag. Ken je dat geweldige gevoel wanneer je foto's bent aan het selecteren op je laptop en je gewoon niet kunt kiezen  omdat zoveel foto's super zijn!? Dit gebeurt maar helaas maar zelden maar voor deze shoot was het zeker het geval. Misschien komt dit wel dankzij mijn nieuwe 50 mm lens?

Milan Fashion Week day 2

Day 2 from Milan Fashion week kicked off with the Blugirl fashion show. The decor had the looks of an old Italian villa which I absolutely adore. Remember I'm a sucker for everything old and slightly romantic.

But the most important thing about a fashion show are off course the clothes. The collection was divided in 3 parts: some black and classic looks, some romantic looks with lots of brocade and last but not least some looks in pastel shades. Again pastels remain on top!

I really liked almost every look, the romantic looks are my favourite. They have soft colors such as gold, beige and camel and can be mixed with almost every item in your wardrobe. You might not expect it but these looks were also best suited for fall and winter because of the amazing coats and furs.

The second show I really wanted to see today was the Just Cavalli show. The collection was quite gloomy but still very chic. The Just Cavalli woman loves gold, brocade, fur and animals; all these elements were mixed into great winter looks. This collection is very wearable with lots of pants and coats to cover your skin. The details were once again magnificent.
