EVENT: Kenzo x Smets Limited Edition Sweater Launch Party

The events keep lining up but hey, you don't hear me complaining. Smets is a store I have been following and going to for a while now because of their amazing range of Stella McCartney, Balmain, Christian Louboutin and Kenzo goodies.

So when one of your favorite stores and one of your favorite brands announce a cooperation, you just know you have to get on that guestlist. It was with a lot of nerves that I entered the Smets store last Wednesday to witness the limited edition Kenzo sweater.

The sweater resembles my Tiger sweater so I didn't buy one although the print was really awesome. There was also a fabulous presentation in which the models danced in Kenzo outfits and an amazing flowerbed from Kenzo was put in the store. Drinks flowed plentiful and the beautiful people were countless. Once again I experienced such a great fashion evening. Keep an eye on my blog because more events are coming up. But for now you'll have to do with the pictures below.

OUTFIT: You're gonna hear me roar

This is my second outfit from Barcelona which I wore on my last day there. The weather was so weird: at times it was sunny and hot and at other times it was raining. Therefore I absolutely didn't know what to wear. My beloved Kenzo sweater kept my warm the whole day and can't stop loving it.

OUTFIT: Kenzo sweater

I'm so glad I can finally show you a new outfit. My best friend and I had a shoot with Anil Bayrak Photography a couple of weeks ago. Thursday evening we got the result on cd and I can't wait to show you the different outfits.

My first outfit, is my favourite. As you already know I finally bought a Kenzo sweater during last month's Fashionata's ladies night. Because the sweater is a bit of masculine, I decided to match it with an embellished skirt.

I'd love to read your thoughts on this oufit! Enjoy your weekend!

EVENT: Fashionata's Ladies night

My favourite Belgian fashion blog by far is Fashionata by Sofie Valkiers. She has accomplished already so much like designing her own clothing line for Essentiel, collaborating with Jimmy Choo and being noticed by numerous international fashion magazines.

Sofie being interviewed

Reading her blog always leaves me with a very positive feeling, you can really tell she loves her job. And she really is the best at it. On her blog she also gives you a great inside into the fashion world which is very interesting definitely during fashion week.

My signed copy from The Little Black Book

Last year Fashionata introduced her Ladies night. Unfortunately I couldn't attend the previous one so I knew I just had to be there this year. The event this year was extra special due to the launch of Sofie Valkier's first book: "The Little black Book". This book should give us further inside into the fashion adventures from Sofie and is accompanied by some amazing pictures of her.

Together with Krizia from Shark Attack I made the trip all the way to Antwerp. The venue for this event was the Princess store on the Meir which all of you fashion addicts of course know as the paradise which sells brands such as Kenzo, Love Moschino, Michael Kors,...but also for their amazing shop interior.

Very delicous cocktail which added to the metropolitan feeling

We were welcomed very warmly by Sofie and her team and delicious cocktails were offered to us immediately. While buying the ticket for this event, everyone could choose one beauty class they wanted to attend. I chose for the OPI class because I love nail art and it's something I'm not really good at. Other work shops were a Balmain hair class, L'oréal hair chalk class and a MAC work shop.

The OPI nailbar powered by the Lak Store Antwerp

The OPI work shop was organised by the people from the Lak Store Antwerp. They were really nice and took plenty of time. The girl who did my nails advised me about some products I could use to improve the quality of my nails, some personal advice is always much appreciated. I'm really glad there's a discount voucher in the goodie bag which I will be gladly spending at the Lak Store.

As you can see, there was plenty of choice. I eventuelly opted for the orange in the middle.

When the work shops were finished, Princess showed some items of their beautiful summer collection during a fashion show. Once again I mentally added some items on my wish list such as a small, pink Marc Jacobs bag.

Look which beauties I spotted while shopping at Princess

After the fashion show everyone took some time to enjoy the 10% discount on the whole collection. I finally bought the grey Kenzo sweater that I have been eying for quite some time now. I can't wait to show it during an outfit post.

Krizia and I left the party quite early because we still had a long drive home ahead of us. Of course we didn't leave without picking up our goodie bag. And I must admit that Sofie and her team know how to put together a goodie bag. The bag included her book of course, some great beauty products delivered by the different sponsors, a Kenzo notebook (from now on I can take notes in style!),...

Content of the goodie bag: Dior perfume, gift voucher Lak Store, mini books, Kenzo note book, Hair Chalk L'oreal, Sofie Valkier's Little Black Book, Balmain mirror,...

Did you attend the event as well? Let me know what you think about my report!

Fashion Trends spring 2014

Spring is right around the corner and this includes a cleaning up your closet and time for some new items. If you want to make your closet spring proof, keep these trends in mind.

Flower power

I don't think this trend needs any explanation. The first thing that pops into mind when you think about spring are of course flowers.

Water world

Remarkably a lot of designers used water prints in their collections. Hopefully the weather isn't going to be as wet as these outfits.

Statement shirts

With a statement T-shirt you can show the world who you are, what you think, who you like without having to speak at all. Statement t-shirts have been very important in fashion the last couple of years. The first stage of the rise of this t-shirt were the rock band shirts. Now days you can find millions of different designs.

I don't buy T-shirts regularly because they don't suit me that well. So when Kenzo first came up with the famous tiger shirts and Givenchy with their rotweiller design, I didn't get hooked on the trend immediately. Slowly it started to suck me in. Last weekend I did some shopping in Antwerp. Unfortunately the tiger sweater I had in mind was sold out but I got my hands on the t-shirt. What do you think?
Thursday I go to a fashion event and I'll be wearing this shirt so keep your eye on my blog! PS: I bought it at Hopland 14.

Lately another T-shirt can be spotted in  the fashion world; the Ballin Paris shirt from Alex & Chloe. I fell in love when I saw Kanye West wearing a t-shirt from this brand. Another plus point is the font is a wink to Balmain, one of my favourite fashion houses. I wore my shirt to a party last weekend, sorry for the blurry picture.

Lots of celebrities have been spotted wearing Ballin Paris, among them are Cara Delevigne, Joel Madden, Ciara, Ellie Goulding and Nina Garcia

Lately I have my mind set on another statement T-shirt, the brand is called "Les Artistes". The only thing that's holding me back is the high collar and the design looks quite masculin.
