OUTFIT: Unexpected view

Last Sunday I had the most amazing time enjoying the great weather. My friend Sofie and I decided to cruise around in her cabrio. I life in Limburg (Belgium) which is a place with a lot of nature and consequently a lot of gorgeous spots. Eventually we ended up on this beautiful spot down the road with an amazing view. I can really enjoy these moments in life during which you are amazed by  something so small and not materialistic.

For my outfit I opted for something elegant because naturally it was weekend and afterwards we would be going for drinks. The top is actually from my mum but it really appealed to me as well.

NL: Afgelopen zondag had ik een geweldige namiddag al genietend van de het super weer. Mijn vriendin Sofie en ik besloten om rond te rijden in haar cabrio. Ik woon in Limburg (België), er is veel natuur en dus ook veel prachtige plekken. Uiteindelijk belandden we op deze mooie plaats ergens langs de weg met een fantastisch uitzicht. Ik geniet echt van de momenten in het leven waarop je verbaasd bent door zoiets kleins en totaal niet materialistisch.

Voor mijn outfit koos ik om iets elegant te dragen want het was natuurlijk weekend we gingen daarna ook een terrasje doen. De top is eigenlijk van mijn mama maar deze sprak mij ook echt aan.

Shoplog #31

I know it's been a while since my last shoplog. It's not like I haven't done some shopping lately ... good God luckily that's not the case ;-) But I bought some stuff online and not at the same time so I decided to collect my new things in one shoplog.

NL: Ik weet dat het alweer een tijdje geleden is sinds mijn laatste shoplog. Het is niet dat ik de afgelopen tijd niet geshopt heb, godzijdank is dat niet het geval ;-) Maar ik kocht hier en daar wat spullen online en vond het leuker om alles in één shoplog te verzamelen. 

1. Louis Vuitton Scarf
It's actually not mine but my mother's. But I really love the colour, it's so easy to mix with a lot of clothes.

2. Scapa flats
I had been searching months for new ballerinas when I finally found this perfect pair on Zalando.

3. Supertrash dress
Another item I had been searching for very long. This Supertrash dress was sold out online and in stores but luckily I still found one in my size on Winkelstraat.nl.

4. Guerlain L'extase perfume

I got this perfume from Belmodo.tv to compete in a contest to win a citytrip. Unfortunately I did not win the contest but got to try out this amazing perfume. I hope to review it soon.

5. Marc Jacobs Perfume  + necklace

I guess it was my lucky month because I won another perfume and necklace by Marc Jacobs. 

6. H&M earrings

I bought these earrings in Aachen, I love the special design.

7. I Am necklace + headbands
Time to restock on jewelry. 

EVENT: Chanel's Party 5

Yes, your eyes are not deceiving yourself; I did attend a Chanel party thanks to Elle Belgium. On Tuesday evening (yes even workdays can be glamourous) I got invited to Bloody Louis in Brussels. This disco was the perfect venue  for a fancy evening in honour of the Chanel N°5 Eau Premiere and the campaign with Gisele Bundchen.

Elle Belgium and Chanel took care of every tiny detail. The whole room was decorated with Chanel items, you can imagine everybody going crazy on taking pictures. Free drinks and Chanel macaroons were also amongst the delights we could enjoy. Last but not least you could get your nails, makeup or hair done. But I opted for a Chanel tattoo. NL: Ja, je ogen bedriegen je niet; Ik heb inderdaad een Chanel party bijgewoond dankzij Elle België. Op dinsdag (ja zelfs weekdagen kunnen glamourous zijn) was ik uitgenodigd bij Bloody Louis in Brussel. Deze discotheek was de perfecte plaats voor een chique avond ter eren van Chanel N°5 Eau Premiere en de campagne met Gisele Bundchen.

Elle België en Chanel verzorgden alles tot in de puntjes.  De gehele ruimte was ingekleed met Chanel items, dus je kunt je wel voorstellen dat iedereen een dozijn foto's nam samen met deze items. Gratis drankjes en Chanel macarons stonden ook op het menu. Daarnaast kon je ook je nagels, make-up en haar laten doen. Ik koos ervoor om een Chanel tattoo te laten zetten. Kijk zeker nog even verder en geniet van de foto's. 

EVENT: Monar x Havaianas

We had quite some sunny days already but spring still has a hard time staying around. Monar & Clothes brought the fashion crowd to sunnier destinations by bringing Brazil to Antwerp. I'm talking about Havaianas of course, the super stylish and comfortable slipper. I already owned a pair which I wear everyday so you can imagine how excited I was to receive a second pair at the end of the evening. Add some delicious cocktails and bites to this and I had the perfect summer getaway for a couple of hours. 

NL: We hebben al enkele zonnige dagen gehad maar toch heeft de lente het tot nu toe moeilijk om aanwezig te blijven. Monar & Clothes brachten het modepubliek eventjes naar warmere oorden door Brazilië naar België te halen. Ik heb het natuurlijk over Havaianas, de super modieuze en comfortabele slipper. Ik bezat al een paar, dat ik elke dag draag, en je kunt je dus wel inbeelden hoe blij ik was om een tweede paar slippers te ontvangen op het einde van de avond. Voeg daar nog heerlijke cocktails en hapjes aan toe en ik had het perfecte zomeruitstapje gedurende enkele uren.

OUTFIT: Nostalgic in Aachen

Some people might think that I'm materialistic and at some level this is of course kind of true. I can really enjoy admiring my new stuff but I know what's really important in life. The most important people in my life are my family and friends. I think I put in a lot of effort to maintain those friendships. So this weekend I went shopping with a friend I've known since first year of high school. We decided to go to Aachen in Germany which is not too far from my home. This city has so many beautiful sights so it was to perfect spot to shoot an outfit. This outfit is quite basic and comfortable just the way I like it during a shopping trip.

NL: Sommige mensen denken misschien dat ik materialistisch ben en tot op een bepaald niveau ben ik dat natuurlijk ook wel. Ik kan wel genieten van mijn nieuwe spullen maar ik weet ook wel wat echt belangrijk is in het leven. Het belangrijkste in mijn leven zijn mijn gezin en vrienden. Ik vind dat ik best veel moeite en tijd steek in het onderhouden van mijn vriendschappen. Zo ging ik dit weekend bijvoorbeeld shoppen met een vriendin die ik ken sinds het eerste jaar van de hogere school. We beslisten om naar Aken in Duitsland te gaan, dit is niet super ver van mijn thuis. Deze stad heeft zoveel mooie facetten en verleende zich dus perfect tot het shooten van deze outfit. De outfit is redelijk basic en comfortabel, precies hoe ik het wel tijdens een shoppingstocht.

EVENT: Media Mania press days

Media Mania is always one of my favourite stops during the press days, I guess most bloggers agree with me. This PR agency has a wide range of gorgeous brand and the team is always so welcoming. I was definitely impressed by the collections of Guess and La Pomme de Loveley. The first is a familiar brand on the scene and is making a comeback a new and trendier image. The latter is newer on the scene, originally La Pomme de Loveley started out as a bag brand but the collection has been expanded with clothes as well. Below you see an overview of my favourite pieces from the Media Mania showroom.

NL: Media Mania is altijd één van mijn favoriete haltes tijdens de persdagen en ik denk dat de meeste bloggers het met mij eens zijn. Dit PR bureau heeft een uitgebreid gamma aan prachtige merken en het team is super vriendelijk. Ik was vooral onder de indruk van de collecties van Guess and La Pomme de Loveley. De eerste is een bekend merk op modegebied en is bezig aan een stevige comeback als een hip merk zijnde. De laatste is nieuwer op de markt, aanvankelijk verkocht La Pomme de Loveley enkel handtassen maar de collectie is nu ook uitgebreid met kleren. Hieronder krijg je een overzicht van mijn favoriete stuks uit de Media Mania showroom. 

EVENT: Feinest Labels pressdays

Twice a year bloggers, buyers and journalists get the chance the discover the collections for next season. The PR agencies organise press days and represent the best brands in the business. For us bloggers, it's a great opportunity to network but also to discover the new trends. Due to a busy work scheme I couldn't attend as many agencies as I would have liked but anyway... In today's blogpost I'll talk you through the brands that were represented by Feinest Labels.

Twee keer per jaar krijgen bloggers, inkopers en journalisten de kans om de collecties voor het volgende seizoen te ontdekken. De PR agentschappen organiseren dan persdagen en representeren de beste merken in de business. Voor ons bloggers is het een geweldige kans om te netwerken en de nieuwe trends te ontdekken. Dooreen druk werkschema kon ik niet bij zoveel agentschappen langs gaan als ik zou gewild hebben maarja... In de blogpost van vandaag vertel ik jullie meer over de merken die vertegenwoordigd werden door Feinest Labels.

Souâd Feriani

A more extensive blogpost about the brand Souâd Feriani is of course already on the blog. Now I got to see and the feel the collection in real life. The press report saying that the quality of the fabrics is super high wasn't a lie. The fit seems to be amazing as well.

Nude Diamond

Another brand I wrote about earlier on the blog. The concept is still the same: custom made and fine pieces of jewelry with a tiny diamond as finishing touch. I'm sorry for the crappy picture quality but these pieces are so hard to photograph but believe me, you'll fall in love instantly.

Unickz

Previously I fell in love with studded Converse sneakers from Unickz. During these press days the brand also showcased some amazing prints. Can you guess which my favourite print is?
Yes indeed, it's the snake skin print!

Mizu

Did you know  that a lot of plastic bottles are filled with cancer causing particles? Well, I didn't know either. The Mizu bottle is the perfect alternative: it's the ultimate replacement for the standard plastic bottle plus it also saves you a lot of money because the Mizu bottle is reusable.
